The Gift

Chapter 1

This is my first fanfiction PUBLISHED ever. And it's going to be about my favorite pairing in One Piece. LuNa! I just love them so much! They're perfect for each other and so I thought of this idea! But it was mostly because of Death_God89 and other stories that gave me the courage and inspiration to finally do it. Since I was nervous to try.

If you're a LuNa shipper then I recommend you read her stories too!

Anyway, on to the chapter, hope ya like it. :)

"Oi, Nami, I'm booored." The raven-haired boy drawls out. He was currently laying on the bed of his navigators room staring up at the ceiling as she worked on drawing a map of an island they had left a couple days ago.

Nami sighs, not batting an eye as she continued her work. "Go play with Usopp and Chopper, I'm busy right now."

Luffy pouts, clearly disappointed by her answer, he lets out a huff and rolls off the bed. He goes to stand behind Nami's chair, resting his chin on her shoulder as he wraps his arms loosely around her to stretch and rest on her abdomen. He subconsciously rubs her bare stomach with his fingertips, tickling her with his light touch, and causing the tangerine loving girl to look at her captain out of the corner of her eye with confusion.

This is how it's been lately with Luffy after finding out from Chopper that Nami's random morning sickness and rejection of food for the past week were due to her bearing a child. Yes, a baby. And to be more precise, her captains baby.

~ Two weeks before ~

"I thought it was just a stomach flu. I'll read up on more things about human pregnancy, so don't worry Nami, you'll be okay!" Chopper had been really worried and confused when the navigator had come to get a check up a week after she realized her upset stomach wasn't getting any better. Now he was actually more than relieved to find out it was what he had just informed her. He looked excited even.

Nami touches her stomach subconsciously. She was shocked at first, but soon afterwards she felt a warm, happy, and... familiar feeling spread throughout her. A little like a warm blanket draped around her. She chuckles to herself, must be her mood swings again. Her thoughts trailed off to Luffy. What would he do once she told him? She knows he's not the type to reject or dislike anything like kids, so easily, but she was curious as to how he'd feel and what he'd do.

"Nami?" Said woman looks over at Chopper, bringing her back from her thoughts. The little reindeer looks up at her in curiosity.

"What is it, Chopper?"

"Are you going to tell the others?"

Nami hums, closing her eyes in thought. "I'll have to tell Luffy first of course.." She sighs, reopening her eyes. "Robin probably already knows, since I have a strange feeling someone is snooping in on our conversation."

Chopper had begun turning to every corner of the room to find any signs of the archeologists' ear or eye, when the little reindeer turns his back to Nami she grins a little when she faintly sees pedals fall from his back. She shook her head and stood up off the bed she was being examined on moments before. "Well, anyway.. I dont know if I should tell the others yet. I don't want them to worry about it so much and I want to see what Luffy says first so."

Chopper looks up at Nami again when she leans down to his height, putting a finger up to her lips. "Let's keep this between us for now, okay?"

"Aye!"
