"There are a few things I wonder about. The first is that you don't talk like someone who comes from the slums of Gotham, and the second is how you kept yourself secret from your... insane father for two years." He continued, giving me a look.

"Oh, right. Well, he made sure that I learned how to speak like a normal person. It helps undercover missions and survival. And for the second , faked my death, I took on a new identity. Lived with new people, went to a new school... All that stuff." I said, uncomfortable. He nodded.

"I am assuming that your mother, is Harley Quinn?" He asked. I shook my head no.

"My mother was an unfortunate victim of his. He killed her the day after I was born, an end to her tortures."

"Batgirl, for your own good I am warning you. I would not advise telling Nightwing your identity. Not yet, anyway. The last Batgirl was killed by your father rather cruelly. He was very fond of her and may not take kindly to you being his offspring. Robin may understand your position. As for the rest of the Team, be careful in whom you trust. As your mentor I am ordering you to tell as few people as possible, preferably none. " He stated, looking directly at me.

"Yes, sir." I said as we both rose from where we had been seated.

"Come, Batgirl. I will take you to your home for tonight. Perhaps later you will stay in the Batcave, but for now you will stay with the team."

"Yes, sir." I said, following him and biting my lip as my body protested. I was gonna be sore tomorrow. I followed him to a garage like place. He turned to me and raised his eyebrow. Well, at least I think he did. His mask was on so I couldn't tell. I nodded in understanding of what he was silently asking me to do. He took a strip of cloth and bound my eyes. He guided to the car and I was placed inside with Huntress on my lap. I heard him get in and I felt the car start and we gently drove away. After about ten minutes I uncovered my eyes. We were in Gotham city that much I knew. What I didn't understand was when Batman stopped the car in an alley way and went to an abandoned telephone booth. He beckoned and I came. He opened the door and the bright light of a Zeta-Tube filled the alley. A mechanical voice said

"Recognized, Batman 02." Batman stepped in and pushed some buttons.

"Override, Batman 02, Install Batgirl, B07." He said and then brought me in. I heard the mechanical voice say again.

"Recognized, Batman 02, Batgirl B07." And suddenly we were in a large room with many teenagers staring at us.

I tensed, I didn't like meeting many people at once and it looked as if not all of these were human.

"Welcome, Batgirl. I am Superboy." A pale skinned teen with black hair stepped forward. "This is Robin." He said gesturing to a young teen in the usual Robin gear. "Miss Martian." He pointed to a girl with green skin and red hair wearing a blue cloak. "Blue Beetle." A boy in what appeared to be blue armor. "And this is Beastboy and Wondergirl. You'll meet the rest later, they are on a mission." He finished, waving his hand towards a green skinned boy who appeared to be half monkey and a blond girl with blue eyes and a long lasso coiled at her hip.

"Hi." I said. I was in pain and in no mood to talk. My eyes searched the room, hoping I'd see something or someone who was familiar. I breathed a sigh of relief as Nightwing walked in. I knew him, and I'd fought him.

"Batgirl, come. The room for us bats is this way. Ja- I mean, Robin, come. I need to check some computer programs with you." The boy called Robin and I nodded. I turned to Batman, making sure he didn't have any other orders for me.
