My morning was, as usual, terrible. I started the morning off bad when my car broke down and I became late for work. Then, the building project I have been planning was cancelled and I got home and the power went out. After a few hours, electricity finally came back and I turned in the TV only to find it on the god damn news channel that I couldn't switch due to batteries.
Now, I was cuddled up under a blanket in my London apartment staring blankly at the view of England below as the TV rambled on about stupid news stories.
"If only I could have something exciting in life." I whispered.
As I looked briefly up at the clouds outside my window, a streak of bright light fell from the sky. Ignoring it, I went back to the TV and yawned. Maybe some sleep would help me through this bad day.

I fell asleep quickly only to find myself in the most weird and realistic dream ever. I stood in the center of Stonehenge as light swirled around me in a blueish glow. The air was unusually warm and I felt the urge to fall to my knees. But just as the air began to almost melt me, the glowing stopped and I was standing in an almost golden palace. A throne was placed in front of me and I seemed to be watching the King (I was guessing) speak to another tall and handsome man. They moved their hands in angry gestures as they spoke and the tall man seemed to get frustrated. My dream faded until I was in a black room. Nothing was with me but a mask sort of thing. Curious, I picked it up. It was white, big black holes for eye holes, and no mouth opening. As I held it, my hands and arms began to tingle and soon burn. I dropped the mask and it shattered. The shards flew into the air and pierced my burning skin and I awoke with a flash.

I was still on my couch. It was darker outside than before, and the news was popping a signal at the bottom of the screen.
"Breaking news!" The woman on the screen said. "A supernatural occurrence has just been spotted at Stonehenge!"
I suddenly became interested as they showed pictures from the landmark. A strange figure was imprinted into the grass and vines had sprouted up the stones. Some golden chains were scattered on the ground and, every lucky now and then, you could see a faint blue streak of light like in my dream.
"Reporters say that this is unexplainable and possibly one of the most odd events in history. Witnesses have told us of a tall, black haired man strolling the area and then quickly disappearing into this air. He would apparently appear within a blue streak of light."
Oh my god. Just like in my dream...
"Stonehenge is blocked off from all visitors and tourists. We will bring back any more news when more is identified. Back to the weather with Bill."
I knew what it was.
That black haired man was the one I saw in my dream.
The blue streak of light was the light surrounding me.
But what about the mask?
Curious, I stood up and quickly changed into some boots, jeans, and a sweater and I set off for Stonehenge.
I parked my car about two miles away and walked the rest before finally reaching the stones at around midnight. As I walked into the center of the place, I looked around me. I was standing on the marks, now a clear pattern of symbols. The gold chains were still scattered and the air smelled burnt. But where was the light?
Just as I was about to leave, I felt a crack behind me. There! A blue streak flew behind me. I waited as more streaks fell from the sky and quickly surrounded me in a spinning blue circle. I looked down and saw the marks glowing white. The gold chains lifted into the air and hung above my head. The light spun faster as the air heated even more and the chains lifted higher. Just as I was captivated in a blue dome, the lights stopped, the chains fell, and the marks stopped glowing. I stumbled backwards and fell onto a stone, whacking my backbone on the edge.
"Holy...ow!" I said as I rubbed my spine.
The searing pain grew worse until all of a sudden, I felt a hand touch my shoulder and the pain disappeared. Scared, I looked up and my heart leaped into my throat.
The black haired man.
"Hello." He said quietly and helped me up.
"Um," I began, "Hey."
He smiled. "You must be Natalie."
I nodded. "Yeah. And you are...?"
He gave me a mischievous look before saying, "Loki. Loki of Asgard. And I have come to take you back with me."
"Oh," I blushed, "I really shouldn't. I have work and my apartment and I have to-"
I was cut short when he brushed the hair out if my face. "Then show me your world."
Astonished, I took him to my car two miles away while he explained why he came.
Wait, why was I doing this? He is a supernatural stranger. I should take him to the police or something. Or should I?
I got into the car and we drove back to London. He found it remarkable how every building was detailed like his "Asgard" was, and he commented on everything.
"Hey, Loki." I said.
"Yes?" He asked, "Can I do something?"
I nodded as we pulled into the apartment's parking garage. "Can you like, transform clothes or something?"
He smiled and laughed. "Sure."
I stopped the car in my parking spot and stared at him as he transformed his clothes into simple jeans and a plaid shirt. "Better?"
"Hair?" I asked. "Your's is a little...fancy."
He laughed again as his hair transformed into a messy black hair cut.
We walked up to my top floor apartment and he was awed with the view.
"Unbelievable!" He gasped.
I smiled as he strolled the rooms, picking up objects along the way and gawking at how they worked. And, for the first time in the past hour or so, I felt glad that I let him come, yet something was telling me that by tomorrow, I wouldn't be seeing London for a long time.
