Chapter 1

World War Three had come at last. There were those who hoped they would have passed before such a dreaded event came to play, and I was one of them. We were already three months into the war, and anyone eighteen or older had to fight. Gender didn't matter. Color didn't matter. Protecting another country for a stupid mistake they made is what mattered.

Everyone had gone through the same training and those who passed with near perfect scores or higher were assigned to go through special training. Those who passed with an 85 out of 100 were assigned to an elite force. Everyone had one. The Army, Navy, Marine Corps., Air Force, and Coast Guard had a small elite team.

My name is Bianca Davidson. I am twenty-six years old and have been assigned to the Army Elite. The squad has only eight soldiers. We all bunk together. We all train together. In a time of crisis, we will mix with different platoons. We will be able to move solo within the platoon and give orders that out rank a one star general. But only in times of dire need. That is what we are for.

At least, that's what we are supposed to do. That is what we are supposed to be for.
