Dreamland is a far away land where all magical creatures live. The largest of the groups are the unicorns and the leprechauns. These two groups are arch rivals and are constantly arguing about “rainbow rights.” Rainbow rights are the rights to all of the rainbows in the world. The leprechauns argue that all of the rainbows belong to them because they tend to leave their pots of gold at one end of the rainbow. The unicorns argue that the unicorns are theirs because more and more people are combining unicorns and rainbows. This is the story of Patty O’Malley and Monochrome Unicorn. Enjoy.
Patty O’Malley was sitting on a rock playing the piccolo. A few of the other leprechauns were playing poker. Unfortunately Patty wasn’t really accepted among the leprechauns. He was a bit of an outcast. You see, Patty was the only leprechaun that didn’t like green. Instead he wore blue. The other leprechauns made fun of him constantly.
Patty finished his song and got up to go for a stroll. He was laughed at as he passed the other leprechauns, but Patty was used to it. He walked right past the other leprechauns and onto the bridge between Dreamland and the human world. Patty questioned whether he should venture down to the human world. He decided against it and just sat down in the middle of the bridge. He pulled out his piccolo and started playing.
Monochrome was running towards the bridge to the human world. The music was calling to him. Sweet sorrow and great happiness was being woven into a single song. Soft and loud, high and low, the sweet music was calling to his very soul. Music was his only weakness. He had to find out who was playing such a beautiful tune.
He reached the bridge and halted quickly. Sitting in the middle of the bridge was a leprechaun dressed all in blue. The leprechaun hadn’t noticed Monochrome yet. Monochrome approached the leprechaun carefully. When he reached the leprechaun, he lay down and listened to the music. Only when the song was over, did the leprechaun look at Monochrome.
“Hello. My name is Patty O’Malley.” The leprechaun announced.
“Hello. I’m Monochrome.” Monochrome stated.
“Nice weather today.”
“It is. That was a lovely song.”
“It was wasn’t it?”
“Do you play from the heart?”
“All the time.”
The pair sat in the middle of the bridge for hours. For once a unicorn and a leprechaun were sitting side by side, peacefully. There was no violence. There was no hate. These two weren’t even acting like enemies. Music had brought them together, not war and violence. Patty started playing his song again and more unicorns and leprechauns gathered.
As the song went on, more and more unicorns and leprechauns came. At the end of the tune, the head leprechaun and the head unicorn agreed that their feud was stupid. They decided that the rainbows belonged to both the unicorns and the leprechauns. That one song ended the feud. The unicorns and leprechauns never fought again.

All I had for this one was leprechauns and unicorns. :)
