I sprinted towards the end of the block, turning right once I hit the corner. I am not going out like this.
"Haha yeet." I smiled to myself.
I always thought I'd go out somewhat gracefully; dying in my sleep or something. Not being kidnapped and murdered after the first day of school.
This day just keeps getting better and better.
Coming near an alley way, I turned right, hearing the car door slam behind me.
They were still following me. Whoever 'they' were.
Hearing heavy footsteps I glanced back wards only to see a dark figure following me deep into the alley. Turning back around I increased my speed as fast as I could; Where is Cameron?
The end of the line was coming up fast and a fence was in between me and freedom.
I was never good at climbing.
In 7th grade gym class when we had to test our upper body strength by climbing a rope with our legs wrapped around the dangling monstrosity, I barely made it up two feet. I never thought it mattered whether or not we knew how to climb a rope.
Now I realized what they were preparing me for.
And how I wished I would've taken rope climbing seriously.
Gripping the fence I hurled myself up as for as I could barely making it up halfway before trying to reach the top of the gate. My legs stung from running so much but regardless I tried to lift them up over the gate anyway.
'I'm gonna make it. I'm gonna live' My eyes gleamed with hope as the sun shone and I could practically taste freedom.
Seconds letter I felt someone grab my other foot, pulling me down with one swift motion.
'Lol gimme dat neck.' My subconscious said, taunting me.
At that moment I knew I was done for.
As the stranger pulled me down I suddenly remembered that there was a Steven universe marathon tonight that I had been waiting for since the beginning of August. It started at 3pm, as soon as I got out of school, and ending at 8 right before the adult swim shows came on.
I had something to fight for.
Swinging my arms and kicking my legs I resembled a chicken who just got their head cut off. Flailing and letting out a war cry was something I learned off of another show I watch. Well Anime; Dragon Ball Z Kai.
"Will you stop struggling and calm down, I just wanna talk to you, you bearded dragon." The stranger yelled as I was about to gather my energy for a Kamehameha.
He's lucky he said something or he was about to end up through the wall.
"Let me go and I wouldn't have to struggle you rat!" I yelled as I continued to flail my arms like a, well, a .... Bearded dragon?
"Calm down and I'll let you go Mrs.Perfect." What?
I stopped struggling and relaxed against his hold. Mrs. Perfect? Where did that come from. Do I know this guy?
Moving away from his grasp I turned around and gasped as I realized who it was.
