Tessa Gray is a character in Cassandra Clare's Infernal Devices trilogy. It's the prequel to a well known book series, that was a movie in 2013. This 6 book series has spiraled in popularity and is now a show called Shadowhunters. I personally don't like the show, I really only like the actor for Magnus Bane. The other actors should go back to school and learn how to act. It isn't just the actors either. Everything is jumbled according to the books. Some of it isn't even in them. Like when Clary went into an alternate universe, that's WRONG!
Anyway, Cassandra Clare did a great job with the books and who knew the first 6 book series(The Mortal Instruments series) was based off of Clare's love for Brooklyn.
The prequel series that Tessa Gray is in was based off of The Tale of Two Cities.
In this series it takes place in the 1800s London. Where men are the high heads of society, whilst women must look pretty and never be noticed amongst their husbands. Tessa is a seventeen year old girl who has an ability she didn't even knew existed.
You should really read these books they're great. Personally I would've read these before The Mortal Instruments series if I knew they existed.
