m.h.Im screaming, so loud. Nobody can hear. Im so alone, I wish I could just disappear,
flashback to three months ago,
The smooth rythym of my ringtone echoed through my ears, I groaned, opening my tired eyes. As I scrunched my nose and furrowed my eyebrows in confusion at the call from an unknown number at such a late hour.
"Hello," I stated plainly.
"Hello, is this Maya Hart?" the question rang in my ears.
"Yes, why?"
"This is Greenwich Village hospital, i'm so sorry to inform you that your mother has been in a terrible accident," there were speckles of sorrow within her soothing voice.
I was preoccupied getting my shoes and keys, that I barely could make out what she had continued to say, so I replied with,
"okay thank you," my voice was weak, and shaky.
As I stepped into the painfully white hospital, the stench of tears and hand sanitizer were so strong filling my small button nose.
I sniffled, the lady at the counter, greeted me warmly and informed me that my mom had been in a car accident and I could not see her right now, cause of her unstable condition.
I sat on a faded blue lobby chair, my vision became blurry with tears. I took deep breaths and peeled the bits of fabric off of it leaving just styrophome.
"Maya?" a familiar voice asked.
My blue orbs looked up, and saw a tall brunette in front of me.
"Riles?" I leaped up, engulfing her in a warm hug quietly sobbing on her shoulder.
She released me, taking her warm, soft hand in mine.
"My mom and dad are here as well, we got the call, peaches i'm sure she will be okay," she said so softly, it sounded like a whisper.
The corners of her pink lips turned into a reasurring smile. We sat down, she tried to comfort me but I could tell she was worried by the unsteadiness of her voice.
After a few minutes I layed on her lap, circling my finger around the soft fabric of her sweats.
Topanga and Cory shuffled in, eventually and gave me hugs, and prep talks, then started talking to the kind nurse.
I rested my head on Riley's lap, drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
An abrupt shaking woke me up, from a wonderfully happy dream. I can remember exactly what was said, but refuse to replay it in my mind.
I started crying hysterically, we all did but I think I was the worst. Everything got blocked out, suddenly.
Riley hugged me, she sobbed too, slow and steady. I sobbed loud, probably waking the newborn babies.
flashforward to present day
Everything now is just one big lonely, blur.
