Holy apples! That is so annoying. What in gods name is it!!

I opened my eyes and squinted at the harsh light shining on my face.

beep.

ok now that is really pissing me off.

i sat up and punched the stupid beeping machine. i smiled and huffed.

"good riddance"

i looked around and stared at the man who just stared at me with his mouth hanging open.

"shut your mouth. it's rude to stare."

my wolf growlled at me.

How dare you speak to our mate like that?

I frowned. mate? i have no mate. what is my crazy wolf on about now.

"y-you're awake!"

i looked at him.

"wow. thanks for letting me know. i thought i was still passed out. where am I anyway?"

he grinned at me creepily.

"pack hospital. you fainted when you saw me after trespassing on my territory."

wait. back it up. his territory? he is an alpha? nope. not my mate. not possible.

"you were obviously shocked to find your mate as handsome as me."

he winked and i resisted the urge to gag.

"i have no mate. you are mistaken."

i looked at him blankly as hurt flashed through his eyes.

"are you rejecting me?"

my wolf howlled at his words.

No! make him see! make him understand!

I growlled and he looked at me his face mixed with fear, hurt and stubborness.

"no. i am not rejecting you. rejecting a mate is a crime. however you are not my mate. i have no mate."

i got up, pulling the iv cords from my arm and walking out. leaving him confused and stunned.

"Luna."

someone bowed to me.

"i am not your luna now show me the way out of this territory."

the poor omega. she was frightened so bad she was shaking. however she surprised me by standing straight and nodding. i smiled encouragingly as she eyed me. confusion and hesitation filled her eyes.

"you're leaving?"

i nodded briskly.

"take me with you."

this was not a question.

i raised my eyebrow at her.

"please?"

she asked and i smiled.

"if that is what you wish. i will accept you as my apprentice."

she beamed up at me and nodded.

woo, i wont be so lonely and i get a training partner.

i searched for my wolf but she was oddly blocking me out.

i wonder whats wrong with her.

the little omega joined me and we snuck out of pack territory.

surprisingly she was as quiet as i was if not more so.

this is going to be interesting.

once we were in no mans land she sighed audibly in relief.

"why did you want to leave?"

"i am sick of being omega. everyday i cook and clean and do all their chores. i always get beaten up and i am done with that pack!"

i growled at her words.

"a pack is not a pack if they beat members of their family."

Nina fought me for control. she was angry at them for beating our new apprentice.

mate or not i will not stand for that!

she growled at me. i sat down and took deep breaths until we calmed down.

"right. you are my apprentice i will train you as of now."

within a few hours she had connected to her wolf and learnt to defend herself in human form.

just as i was about to tell her to shift we heard a painful howl from her old pack and panic filled her eyes.

"theyve noticed im gone!"

i nodded and we took off running, making sure to hide our scent. i was happy with her progress, she is a good pupil.

after a few more miles we stopped by a lake.

"i never asked, what's your name apprentice?"

"i dont have one."

my wolf growlled again and pushed through, pushing into her mind and creating a mind link.

What was that?

I heard her wolf ask. this is no usual mind link. i can hear her wolf. what is this.

Ladies, this is a masters link with their apprentices.

my wolf spoke up. i nodded, thoroughly impressed.

Her wolf spoke up.

We dont have names, our father died before our birth and our mother died during our birth.

A small tear escaped my eye as her wolf told us of their life. memories and feelings washed over me. i pulled her to me in a hug.

"mouse. i name you mouse."

i said as she bunched my shirt in her hands and sobbed on my shoulders.

"We, Catt and Nina, swear to protect you, Mouse and to train you well. In return your wolf will carry my mothers name and you will address yourself as my daughter."

I announced confidently. although i was only 16 and she 12, i felt such a motherly connection to her i knew i would die to protect her.

"We, Mouse and Raven, accept yours, Catt and Ninas, propositions. Thank you, Mum."

I smiled and held her, rockig back and forth as she cried.

slowly lulling her into a deep sleep as the stars came out.

"you've done well my precious. you will make me proud."

i smiled and pulled her closer to me.

her pack will pay. i swear on it.

even if it costs me my last breath, they will suffer by our hands.
