Bus 1,
Bus 3,4,10,12-

There was no bus 6 in front of the school building.
And usually I'm the late one.

I put headphones in, hit shuffle on my ipod, then cross my arms to shield from the cold. I stand there for just two songs, then I feel something tap my shoulder.

I look over to see a boy with long, dark brown hair side-parted to my left, his right, a cute, oops, face, a dark, almost black, blue shirt with a cracked skull with flowers popping out the eyes in the middle, kahki capris and dark blue converse standing there, holding out a navy blue fleece jacket. I take out my headphones and shove them into my pocket.

He looks at me with a small smile, and pinkish cheeks. "You looked cold" he says softly.

I reach out and gently grab onto the jacket, and my fingers brush his.

"Thank you" I say, blushing.

He looks down, then back up at me and smiles again. "You can keep it."

I smile. My cheeks are probably strawberry red.

He looks down again. "I should go, I have bass lessons today...I-I'll see you in chemistry."

He looks up through his beautiful long hair and I answer, "I'll see you then."

He gives a smile, that kind where one half of the person's mouth is higher than the other, and I give a small wave back. He turns and starts to walk away, but he doesn't get very far before he stops, looks back and waves, then starts again. I look at the jacket in my hands; why would he give it to me? wow.

I throw the fleece lover my shoulders, and hold the navy blue fabric close to me with my hands. The bus gets here eventually, and I spend my bus ride home thinking about what happened.

He's from my chemistry class, I know that; he sits in the third row back next to the window. What was his name again?

Brent.
