REAL ; CHAPTER THREE

"No, no, no. Go back!" Jimin half-whispered as he signalled the girl to go back with his left hand. "What, why?" she asked, face confused as ever.

"Clickers! Now, don't move!"

Everything was quiet; only a few clicking sounds by the clickers were made. "Fuck, I'm running out. We can only sneak past them. There's too much for us to take them down ourselves," his face grew panic as he walked past them one by one, a knife was on his right hand. They soon got out of it, he sighed in relief. They got out of the tunnel, Jimin immediately sat on the ground, exhausted. "I am not gonna see those things again!" he pointed to the tunnel, head still looking down, panting.

"Come on, we're not wasting time here. Let's move."

Jimin shot up, looking at her back while she stumbled from the tree that had fall down. He heard a few curses muttered from her; he stood up, chuckling.

"You're back!" Jungkook exclaimed, his stood up from his seat beside the little girl. Yoojung's eyes widen as she saw blood on Jimin's face; but couldn't care less as she sat back on her spot from before. "Uh, we have a visitor," Jimin gestured behind the front door. "Huh?" Jungkook eyes widen, the girl finally got in the house. "Wait," he examined the girl's face carefully. Then realization hit them. "Hyejin?" "Jungkook?" Both of them said in unison, making Jimin turned his head to the both of them.

"Wait, you guys know each other?"

"Well, not really but uh we used to have Biology class together," Jungkook explained, he stretched his arms, giving Hyejin a big hug. "I'd never thought I'd see you now," she pulled away from the hug, tucking her hair behind her ear.

"You can have your reunion next. Come on, I'll give you what you need," Jimin went to the kitchen cabinet, taking out some boxes of ammos. "Whoa, how you guys get these?" she stuffed some into her backpack, eyes widening. "We go out a lot. A lot of people are dead and we found some in their bags or in their guns," he closed the cabinet door, taking the food tins on the counter. "Here you go. I think that's it," he gave a slight smile to her. "Where's the girl you said earlier?"

Jimin pointed to the girl, eyes closed shut as she was sleeping. "We found her two days ago on the road. We didn't bother to ask where her parents was at though; maybe they died," he shrugged, lifting the Yoojung's shirt carefully, not wanting her to be awake. "That's kinda bad, actually. It could've been worser, but it didn't," she pulled the shirt down, couldn't stand the wound that she saw, she stood up from the couch. "Here. Take good care of her. She'll make it," she glanced at the younger girl who was sleeping.

"I'll get going now."

"Wait!"

Her hand rested on the door knob, shocked, she turned to look at the person speaking.

"Can't she stay, Jimin?" Jungkook pleaded. "Please?"

Jimin walked closer to him, only wanting the two of them to hear their conversation. "No. We can't," he shot the other boy a look. "But why? We can't just leave her out there alone! She's a girl, for fuck's sake," Jungkook ran his fingers trough his hair. "I said no. We can't take the risk to see them die in front of us—or disappear," Jimin raised his voice slightly, still denying. "She won't. I'll protect her, I promise. Just please let her come with us," Jungkook suddenly went onto Jimin's sleeves. "Please."

"Guys, what's going on?"

They ignored her, continuing with their conversation. "Are we forgetting the real mission here?" The question threw Jungkook off, his lips parted slightly. "We have to find him! Our mission here is not to save lives. We were gonna find him and get back to the quarantine zone," Jimin reminded him, he held on the latter's arm. His grip tightened.

"Taehyung needs us."
