Lost

Things gone fast, one second Anne is standing at the door, now she’s running like there’s no tomorrow. Mr. Della Cruz and I followed her but she’s just too fast that when we reached the front door of their house, she was already heading to the woods. Oh, didn’t I mention that they live in a province? But really, I’ve never thought that Anne is a fast runner. But on the other hand, how am I supposed to know that if I just got here?

“Anne! Come back here!” Mr. Della Cruz yelled at the top of his lungs but Anne keeps running until she disappeared into darkness. I was so stunned of what happened that I literally froze on where I am standing. “Cassiopeia, stay here, I’ll find her” I was startled when Mr. Della Cruz speak up.  

Before I could response, he went inside the house then came back with a thing in here hand. I was in shock when he clicked a button on the thing then it started to give light. What’s that thing? I didn’t bother to ask him where he got that weird thing; instead I stopped Mr. Della Cruz before he can even take a step toward the woods.

“I want to help” I said without thinking

 “What? Are you nuts?” he responded

“I don’t know what nut is but I think no.” I answered back because I didn’t really know what nut is.

“No Cassiopeia, you stay here” then he started to walk, I followed him.”I say stay here and don’t follow me!” he shouts but I was too frustrated on what’s happening that I didn’t listen and keep following him.

“Augh! Why are you constellations are too stubborn! You always do what you want and not listening to others!” Mr. Della Cruz exploded

“Always? What are you talking about Mr. Della Cruz? Is there other constellation that you’ve met?” I shut back, what is he saying? I don’t understand. Is it possible that the reason why he knows a lot because he had met other constellations before?

“No. Nothing, just forget it” he then turned his back and started walking towards the woods, but I have too much questions for him that I followed him and asked as many as I can.

“Tell me the truth Mr. Della Cruz! Did you’ve met constellations before? How? And what happened to them? Please tell me!”  I asked while following him “Mr. Della Cruz, please! I’m begging you! Tell me all you know!”

He stop and face me, I could see that he was irritated by all of my questions but then his face softened and he sighed “look, Cassiopeia, these is not the right time to answer those questions, my daughter need me right now, I need to find her, she must be lost somewhere out there and scared and I can’t forgive myself if anything bad happened to her” he said

Suddenly I felt like a fist is gripping my hearts so hard, I don’t know but I think this feeling is called guilt, I just always hear it when I watch humans from above, as far as I can remember, you will feel guilty if you think you did bad to a person or you think that your selfishness hurt others feelings.

“I’m sorry” I said and look at the ground
