Gone

We were about to walk when we heard a voice calling Anne’s name

“ANNE! Where are you?” we stopped and wait to know if it’s just our imagination and to know where the voice is coming from

“Anne! Can you hear me? Where are you?” that voice! It’s Mr. Della Cruz’s! And it’s coming behind those trees!

“Oh my! Its father!” said Anne with delight

She suddenly run towards the voice’s location and started calling her father, I followed her but she’s just too fast I thought I’ll lose her, thanks for her voice I followed where it is.

When I reach her and see her hugging her father tightly, my heart almost melts because of the scene.

There they stand, Mr. Della Cruz and Anne hugging each other. I can actually see their love for one another. Especially Mr. Della Cruz, his face is painted with different emotions, like his been worried, happy, and relieve at the same time. He also hugs his daughter like he didn’t want to let her go again because his afraid to lose Anne. Then all of a sudden, Anne started crying like a baby.

“I’m sorry father; I didn’t mean to do such thing”

I smiled; I wish I also have a father like Anne…

“It’s okay, just don’t do that again, I’m worriedly sick about you! I think I’ll lose you too like your mom”

Just like that, my smile vanished hastily. I remembered what I learnt about her mom. I abruptly look at Mr. Della Cruz, his looking at me now like he already know what I’m thinking is.

The hair on my arms all went up…Mr. Della Cruz surely always give me a creep. And by that, I knew that he also want it to keep from Anne.

I want to know what happened to Anne’s mom, I want to know how it happened, and I want Mr. Della Cruz to tell me everything…

But I also know that this is not the right time to brag about it.

“I’m sorry, I’m really sorry, I’ll never to that again” said Anne

Mr. Della Cruz then changed his gaze out of me and looked at Anne intently…

“I said its okay, let’s just be glad that there nothing bad happened to both of you and your safe” he then kissed Anne’s forehead

“Thanks father”

“It’s better to get out of here and go home, let’s go”

I’m about to walk when I suddenly felt uneasy.

“Cassiopeia…what are you waiting for? Let’s go, we need to go home now, it’s dark in here” Mr. Della Cruz said that cut me off of thinking so much.

“Uhmm…yes” then I started following them…I still feel uneasy, I don’t know, but there’s this feeling like I’ve forgotten something…something important…

We were walking and I’m still thinking of that something that I forgot when Anne spoke out of the blue

“Uhmm…father?” both Mr. Della Cruz and I look at her

“Hmm?”

“Uhmm…there’s something I want to say…”
