Ricky's vision was blurred as he drove haphazardly around town, music blaring through the speakers as he sniffled. His phone had buzzed continuously but he decided to just ignore it. He wasn't in the mood to speak to anyone and didn't want to risk snapping at one of his friends and making the situation a lot worse than it needed to be.
It took some time for him to make his way back home. Getting out of his car, he left everything besides his phone behind. Instead of walking inside he headed towards the sidewalk and kept going. There was no destination in his mind, he just needed to go.
Clenching his fists thoughts ran through his head at high speeds. "Why..? Why would he do that? Shove that in my face?" His voice remained hushed as he tried to process everything that had happened in the past years.
"Ugh.."
Ricky tilted his head up and looked at the sky, blinking as his tears slipped down once more. "You promised me..you swore.." He couldn't force his voice out anymore or he would get sick to his stomach at this point.
Making his way to a local coffee shop he spent hours on end in there. Faking busy with a random magazine he grabbed from the stack and a lukewarm mocha that he had been mindlessly sipping at. With a sigh he glanced at his phone and finally pressed the green icon with numerous red pings.

𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚜𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚢The last message he read through Ricky off. How did Vinny know that Ryan was coming back? Why didn't he tell him? He couldn't help but feel betrayed by someone he thought was his friend. Of course it was something they could get over but for the moment he felt something akin to petty hatred.
Anger filled his body and he bit at his tongue, fingers ghosting over the graphic keyboard to message Vinny back but he decided against it. Soon his phone started ringing once more but this time it was his mom calling. He didn't want to give her more stress than she was already carrying but he knew if he spoke to her all he would do was worry her more.
With a gentle sigh he shook his head and slid the phone in his jacket pocket before he got up and walked out. He had no idea where he was going and continued to walk until he made it to a more wooded area. Ricky knew they wouldn't try to find him here so he made his way through.
"Fuck...it's cold.." His voice shook with the shivers of his body as he made his way through the overgrown roots and bushes. Luckily his jacket was just thick enough to keep the branches from scratching up his arms. A breath left Ricky when he finally made his way out and looked over the cliff. The drop made his stomach lurch and tumble.
"I should really go out more.." He stood there before slowly inching closer at one point he had to get down and crawl the rest of the way before he swung his feet over and sat on the edge. Ricky toiled his phone around in his hands, listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocky bottom.
