A/N I haven't updated in TWO WHOLE DAYSS. Unless I don't finish this chapter in one day. Yeah, I probably won't. Oh well. ANYWAYS these things are supposed to be short but I get carried away... Hope you don't mind! Oh and excuse my spelling, I'm trying to get this done quickly, (I haven't done my homework yet....)
Max's POV
Ugh, this girl is going to be the most annoying science partner yet. I thought to myself as I set up our bench with my pens, books, cardboard, glue, decorations, stuff like that. Chloe was off 'socialising' with Sabrina. I heard her giggle from across the room. I'm gonna have to do all the work, aren't I? I thought, as I researched 'Science Project Designs'. I saw Marinette playing with a tuft of Nathaniel's hair as they talked on and on about different designs for their project. I noticed Adrien on the other side of the room eying them.
It was so obvious that he liked her. Ever since he saw her. And of course I knew. I know about everyone's crushes. I had made multiple lists of how to get them together.
Alya was meant to be with Nino.
Alix was meant to be with Kim.
Mylene was meant to be with Ivan.
Juleka with Nathaniel.
Rose and I.
But most of all, the couple everyone shipped, Marinette and Adrien. As Nathaniel kissed her head I noticed... HE WAS RUINING THE ENTIRE CLASSES SHIP! HOW DARE HE!?
I breathed in. Some may think i'm being completely unreasonable, but you don't understand the risk at stake! He could ruin the couples system! And it took me WEEKS to jab at the school system to get all of us into the same class for all of high school. I took a step forward.
Max, no. Confront him in private. If Miss high-and-mighty (Chloe Bourgeois -yeah, I still don't know how to spell 😂-) found out about me changing the school system, it could be possible blackmail.
I took a step back. I turned to the desk where my book lay, a single blue pen laying beside it. I looked back to my phone and began researching science projects as I heard a loud giggle from across the room followed by an "Adrien!" And a flirtatious giggle coming from the mouth of none other than Chloe herself.
