"I'm so, so happy you're home." I breathed in his ear as he picked me up off the ground.
"I missed you so much." Nick told me, twirling me around.
"Guess what's happening in two weeks?" I asked him with excitement, hoping he knew the answer right away.
"I'm marrying the most amazing woman in the world. Duh." He said, putting me down. I was beaming with pride. I could not wait to marry this man. We held hands as we walked out of the airport and to the car. He opened my door for me, and shut it behind me. While we were driving home, Nick couldn't stop talking and gleaming about the tour. How much fun Demi and him had, all that. Once we got home and walked into the house, the smell of baking hit me right away and instantly made me nauseous. I peeked around the corner, seeing my mother in my kitchen.
Why?
Nick looked at me as I tried to stop myself from throwing up. He reached out to help me, but I shook my head and raced to the bathroom. I lifted the toilet seat, hoping no one heard me puke. I haven't eaten the past couple days, so that doesn't help me. I came out clutching my stomach. Once mom saw me, she stopped.
"Are you okay?" She asked, putting on her mom-hat. I gave a half smile and nodded stiffly before gesturing for my fiancé to come upstairs with me. He was carrying a plastic bag, but put it on the bed when we reached our room.
"Honey, you have to eat something." He pleaded to me, putting his hands on my shoulders and looking into my eyes.
"Okay, okay." I nodded, not wanting to eat at all, but I knew I had to just to please him. He smiled, kissing my forehead and walking downstairs to see my mother. The plastic bag on the bed caught my eye, so I peered inside it. I saw a small collar and what looked to be cat toys. Weird. I disregarded it, taking my hair out of the bun it was in. I shook it out, bending over to flip my hair. I stood back up, looking at myself in the mirror. I still had a disgusting taste in my mouth, and I couldn't get it out.
"You good babe?" Nick wrapped his arm around my waist as I came in the kitchen, kissing my cheek. I nodded, looking around at what my mom was baking. There was a rack of cookies, and a cake. I was confused as to what all this was for.
"Mom, what's all this?" I questioned.
"Remember? We're having Kaylee's eighteenth birthday here tomorrow." I completely forgot about that, I was so wrapped up in the situation I was in with my recovering from being sick, and my disorder. Which my mother still didn't know about.
"I completely forgot mom." Nick's grasp tightened on me in a comforting way. She looked up at me over her glasses, beginning to frost the cake. It was being held in our backyard, and she was having quite a bit of people over.
"Can Nick and I have a minute?" I said to her, pulling his hand over to the living room.
"I forgot Nick. I'm not ready for it. I didn't even know she was here. She wasn't when I left and-" He cut me off by putting his finger up to my lip. I only sighed, his touch relaxing me.
"I got it baby, okay?" I nodded, feeling grateful. I've been so stressed the past few days.
"Hey, so I looked in that bag you brought upstairs, and there was a small collar in it. What's that for?"
"Joe and Demi are getting a kitten, so I bought it for the kitten." I smirked, furrowing my brows.
"Well, that's sweet of you,"
"I really want some alone time with you tonight." I gave him a sexy smile, biting my lip.
"Juliette, come say goodbye!" My mom's voice rang through the house. I got up, rolling my eyes, my fiancé following me. Nick and I said goodbye to her before making our way up to our bedroom. As we laid in bed, he ran his hand up to my thigh, caressing it softly. I smiled before kissing him deeply, pushing my body against his.
"I love you so d*mn much." My fiancé murmured against my mouth. I groaned against him, my hips on his. Nick's hand went to my side, squeezing it gently. He slipped my pants down with his other hand, his fingers grazing my waist. I bit his bottom lip, his hot mouth moving to my neck.
As I laid against him in bed that night, I couldn't sleep. I was so hungry. I got out of bed, making my way into the kitchen. I turned on the light to see my dog staring at me.
"Ah!" I jumped back, my eyes widening. That's creepy. He wagged his tail at me, walking toward me. I moved my hand along his side before moving over to the fridge to find something to eat. I settled with taco salad we still had in there, eating it right out of the bowl. It was so good, but I knew that it wasn't going to stay down for long.
After eating only a few bites, I couldn't stop. I wolfed down the entire bowl. I went up to the bedroom, feeling full, when my stomach told me no. I raced to the bathroom connected our room, puking and hoping that Nick didn't hear me. When I got done, I crawled back in bed next to my fiancé and he wasn't fazed at all. I made sure to brush my teeth after I threw up, and I kissed Nick's cheek before settling down to go to sleep.
