You-High

-The high school for young YouTubers-

no, we're not calling you high.

Waking up early was probably my least favorite thing to do ever. To make it even worse I was waking up early to go to school. I sigh plopping out of bed lazily. "Dillion, get up, it's your first day of high school." My father calls up stairs. I roll my eyes sleepily putting my clothes on. While in the middle of pulling on my pants I fall over. I screech and hit the ground with my face. "owe..." I mutter. "I see you're having trouble?" My brother chuckles walking into the room. "Can't you see?" I ask rolling my eyes. He helps me up. "Hurry, the bus is almost here." I nod pulling my pants up all the way. I grab my bag and rush out of my room. I rush down stairs to be met by my father's. "Have fun Dilly." My dad smiles hugging me. "And Dan, you be nice to your brother." Father looks to Dan, who just laughs and rolls his eyes. "Bye dad, bye father." I smile waving and hurries out the door after Dan. "So, how is You-High? Is there mean kids there? Are there nice kids? Do you like any-" Dan glares at me. "to many questions?" I ask softly and he nods. "sorry...." I mutter looking down. Dan sighs. "You-High is very different from all the other schools. It looks more into electives than actual school work, so, instead of learning math and science, we'll learn how to take videos, and act." I nod. "that sounds awesome." I smile. Dan nods. "Yes, there are a few mean people, keep a look out for Lighla Erakt, and Kade Keem, the two are dating, so they're not hard to miss while they're making out in the hall. They're two years higher than you, so they won't mind kicking your face in." I look to him wide eyed. "y-you'll protect me right?" I stutter. Dan shrugs. "I'll try my best, but I can't promise you anything." I shiver softly. "There's some kids you can hang out with though. There's CJ, and Jill, you remember them right?" He asks, and I nod. CJ's dad PJ is really good friends with our fathers, and we used to visit them all the time back then until we got over. Dan still visits CJ, but I don't really visit Jill anymore. "she's actually gotten cute." Dan smirks and winks. The bus comes and I chuckle. "Whatever." I mutter following Dan on the bus. He sits next to CJ, and I look around for a seat. "hey squirt, sit there." Dan points to the seat in front of him, that was already being occupied by Jill. I sit next to her. "Hey." She smiles. I smile and stare at her for a bit on accident. I got slapped in the shoulder and I look up to Dan. "ey, stop staring at my sister." CJ glares. "s-sorry..." I stutter. "Hey Jill." I smile. She smiles, and we just awkwardly sit in silence until I hear Dan whisper, "We're going to force them to be best friends right?" CJ chuckles and whispers back, "of course." I laugh inside my head and rolls my eyes. "They're crazy." I whisper and Jill laughs and nods her head. "CJ's even worse." I laugh. "try living with Dan." She pretends to shiver. "sounds terrifying." she whispers.

The bus ride sadly went by quickly, and when it ended me and Jill hopped off quickly. Dan and CJ followed behind us. "Alright sis, you go into the auditorium to get your schedule." Dan nods to me, and walks off with CJ. "Come on." Jill squeaks grabbing my hand rushing into the auditorium, which was filled with many kids which scared me a little. I sit with Jill. "so, what course did you sign up for?" she asks. "Vlogging, and gaming." I think. "sweet! I have vlogging and acting." She smiles. "hey, maybe we'll have the same vlogging class!" She squeaks. I laugh and nod. "that'd be cool."

our names were called and it turns out Jill has first period, camera's, with me. We followed the teacher to our first class. "Hello, I am miss Mahar, and I will be teaching you how to use a camera. Everyone here has a camera today right?" She asks. A couple kids shook their head no, but most, including me and Jill, had ours. "whoa. Your camera looks way more awesome than mine." I mutter wide eyed. She laughs. "Yeah, my dad was a director, so he expects me to have the best camera's, I actually think this is better than my brothers camera." Jill laughs. I chuckle, I just couldn't help but stare at her blonde locks, they were very amusing.

The class went by pretty quickly, surprisingly. It could have been because Miss. Mahar was all hype, and pretty funny at times. I was certainly happy when I got the chance to leave the class though, I had vlogging next, it's my bothers favorite class, so I'm sure I'm going to like it. I stepped in and sat my bag on the ground I was happily waiting for the teacher to start the lesson while I was watching piles and piles of students cram themselves through the door. One of the students caught my eye though, he was a boy that I've only seen once or twice, Max Kendall. I smile and wave for him to come over. "Max!" I grin. He smirks. "Dil! How long has it been? 10, 11, years?" He asks. I nod. "about 9 years dude. That's so cool! So your dad moved back?" I ask excitedly as he sits in the desk next to me. "erm, yeah! He's actually staying this time! I spoke to him about wanting to be a YouTuber, so he decided to take me here." He smiles. "That's so great! Wait 'till Dan and CJ knows you're here!" I shout excitedly. Max smiles. "Oh god, I missed all of them." He smiles happily. We had to stop talking when miss. Stevens comes into a class with a smile on her face. "so. Vlogging." She smiles, and that's when the class started.

The end of school was awesome. I walked with Max to the buses. It seems we've missed a lot of our lives together. "Here, text me when you can." Max smiles and hands me his number. "Sure will!" I smirk taking the number. Dan walks down the steps. "Maxamillion Ken-doll!" Dan shouts rushing down the stairs leaving CJ behind. He wraps Max in a hug, and Max laughs. "ah, the ken-doll's back." Max smirks. I laugh and hold my sides. Jill walks down the steps. "Maxy~!" She squeaks. "h-hi Jill." Max smiles. Dan moves away from Max so Jill could hug him. I look to the buses and see everyone's loading. "alright guys, it's time to get on." I smile. We leave Max behind and we hop on the bus.
