Kanato rolled his eyes, while my mom just had a terrified look on her features.

"Oh dear..." she muttered. "This was your last chance, wasn't it?"

I was always late and forgetting stuff, so the owner of the bakery had made up a rule that I had three chances to be there on time, and if not, she would fire me.

Well, the owner of the shop wasn't some sort of stereotypical old lady, that loved kids. No, she was this cranky forty year old woman, who had at least been married eight times. And her husbands called a divorce a week later. Probably.

She didn't even have a true love for sweets, unlike me. Sweets were yummy, tasty, and..... got you cavities.

But oh well.

You probably just lost your job anyways.

"Huh? What job?" Kanato asked, slightly confused at your mother's worried tone, and probably your outburst.

"My job at the bakery." I sighed, before plopping your butt on the chair and head on the table.

"Bakery?" Kanato's eyes lit up.

"Yep." You muttered dejectedly.

"Can we go to the bakery?!" He whisper-shouted at me, his eyes wide with excitement, and a smile that wormed its way to my heart.

Wait what.

"Better her yell at me now, rather than having her yell at me the next time I go to the bakery..." I muttered.

"Yay!" He cheered.

My mom smiled before going to her office to work on papers.

"We're gonna walk 'Kay? If not, your a lazy little shit." I smiled for a moment before pulling my head up, and walking out, Kanato following.

"Shut up." He growled.

Yeah, he was annoying.

He was bipolar, and had a dirty mouth.

But so was I.

Minus the bipolar part.

Oh, you were gonna be great friends.

"What are you giggling about, you creep?" Kanato asked while you locked the door behind you.

"Shut the fuck up."
