Chapter 6

Walking back to the dorms seemed like the longest walk ever. I rush inside my room, and lock the door, finding Lilly sitting on her bed. On the way, I debated whether or not to tell Lilly about my "discussion" with Justin, and decide to tell her, I mean she is best friend, she would find out anyway.

"Hey, what's up?" She sits up, looking worried after noticing my scared expression. 

"I-It's Justin...It's happening again, Lilly I-" I stutter, not able to finish my setence. Instantly, Lilly runs up to me and pulls me into the tightest hug possible. Without pulling out from the hug, she says, "What did he say?"

"He said that if I don't move on.." I pause, taking in a breathe, "He'll move back, and say things about me in front of everyone and I-I don't want that." I begin crying into Lilly's shoulder.

"I know.." She whispers. I'm so glad to have Lilly back in my life, I was honestly so lost without her when she left. After all, she was and still is my best friend. I pull out of the hug, wiping my eyes with the back of my hand. "I want to move on, but it's hard you know?" I explain, as I move towards my bed. 

"I understand, but you shouldn't let it get to you.." Lilly starts to say. I know it shouldn't get to me, but being as insecure as I am makes it harder to ignore it. 

"I know I know.. I just need to get my mind of things, and what happened today.." I sigh. I really need to avoid him, that way I won't see him and he's less likely to start shit. But I can't, because I have the same class as him, but he said classes which means I see him more than once a day. This is making my head spin, I really need to get my mind off things.

"Oh I know!"  Lilly squeals. "What?" I force a smile. 

"This boy... Ethan.. invited me to a party tonight! We should go, have fun, forget about today!" Ethan? I wonder if it's the same Ethan.

"Ethan? Brown hair, blue eyes? Really sweet?" I question. Ethan is nice and he's attractive. But he knows Justin..

"Yes! That's him! How do you know him?" Lilly laughs. "He's in my Psychology class" 

Lilly nods, and sits next to me. "Sooo.. shall we go?" Going to a party wouldn't be so bad, considering the fact that I'm in college, so I should go partying, and live a normal college life, right? 

"Yeah, sure. What time does it start?" 

"We've got just under 2 hours to get ready!" 

"Oh okay." I walk to the closet, and scan through my clothes. Luckily I brought dresses which are appropriate for a party. It's a floral cut skater dress, it's quite short, but who cares. I like it. I grab the hanger, and pull the dress off it. It's already ironed which saves time. 

After showering and drying my hair, I curl my hair into loose ringlets and clip it back. I tug the dress over my head and pull the side zip up. I use my eyelash curlers to curl my eyelashes, and then apply two layers of mascara. I quickly dab a layer of concealer under my eyes and blend it. Once I put my favourite red lipstick on, I put my converse on and take one more look in the mirror, dusting my dress down. I face Lilly, and her eyes widen.

"Bree, oh my god! You look stunning" She screams. I let out a laugh, and return the compliment.

"Well we have 10 minutes, you ready?" She says, and I nod.

"Woah, you can hear the music from here!" I exclaim, as we pull up into the drive-way off the unknown house.
