Jo had been 16 when she first met the Winchester boys. They had stopped at the roadhouse, because a big vampire nest had just moved to a nearby town. The Winchesters had been tracking it for a few months now, and John had wanted to stop by the Roadhouse and see how Ellen and Jo were doing.
Jo looked up from the counter, when the cutest guy she had ever seen walked through the door.
He walked over to the bar, and sat down. "Waitress" he asked "Can I get a shot of whiskey?"
Jo was still staring at him, when saw his lips moving, and then realized he was talking to her. "Oh, yeah" Jo nodded "Coming right up!" Jo nervously walked over, grabbed the whiskey and glass, and wiping the slight drool off her face.
She walked back over to where the man was sitting, "I don't think I've ever seen you here before. So, where are you from?" Jo heard herself asking. "Umm, Lawerence originally, but just came from Oklahoma with my dad and little brother." said the man. "Hey, what's you're dad's name?" Jo asked. Remembering something her mom said earlier about an old friend stopping by with his two sons, with the name Winchester. "It's John, why do you ask?"
Just then Jo looked over toward her mother seeing her hugging an older looking man. Who had a little boy next to him. "Is that him over there?" Jo asked the man. "Yeah, it is, I wonder who he's talking to." he said. "That, would be my mother." said Jo.
Jo looked at the man in front of her, realizing he was one of the boys her mother was talking about earlier. "Oh, so you must be one of the Winchester boys my mom was mentioning earlier." she said, the man looking very confused.
"Are you related to a woman named Ellen, by any chance?" he said. "That's my mom." Jo was just as confused as the man was.
They both got up, and walked over to their parents. "Mom, is this the old friend you mentioned earlier?" Ellen looked at Jo confused, then realized she never actually told Jo who her old friend was. "Oh my gosh, I forgot to tell you who they were. Well, this is my old friend, John Winchester, he knew your father. These are his boys Dean and Sam." Ellen said pointing at the boys. "And this is my daughter, Jo."
After everyone shook hands, and talked for a little bit they all walked to the bar. Ellen getting John a drink, and Sam a coke from the back.
Jo walked around the bar, and sat down next to Dean. "How long do you think you guys'll be in town?" Jo asked Dean. She just wanted an excuse to talk to him. "It'll probably be a couple weeks, before we get to the nest or they move to the next town." "You said earlier that it was a big nest, like exactly how big is it?" wondered Jo. Dean replied "Its probably somewhere from 25 to 30 vamps."
Jo was studying Dean's face as he kept going on about the nest. She was very curious about the boy in front of her. Also the nest, because Jo had never actually been on a hunt. She just learned about all the creatures from the stories told by hunters passing through the Roadhouse. "Have you ever been inside a nest before?" Dean questioned. Jo responded with a quick "no". Knowing her mother was close by she turned and looked at her a little angry. Her mother wouldn't let hunt or even really let her out of her sight, ever since her father had died on a hunting trip.
"I just figured, since you're around hunters all the time, that you might be one to." Dean quietly stated, feeling Ellen's glare on the back of his head. He quickly changed the subject.
"So, exactly how old are you, Dean?" Jo asked. She guessed he was about 18 to 20. Dean responded with"18, what about you?" "I'm 16 turning 17 in a few months." stated Jo. Dean looked at Jo, "So you're still in school." Jo though for a moment,"Technically, but I haven't been in a while."
Jo looked over Dean's shoulder noticing Sam sitting there quietly. "Hey, Sam I have some video games in the back you could play if you liked." Sam smiled at Jo nodding his head. "Ok, follow me Sam." Jo said smiling back.
Jo showed Sam the games then went back out to where dean was. She stopped at the bar to clean off the counter a bit and fill a few empty glasses. Jo was filling a glass as she noticed Dean staring at her and smiling. When Jo got back to the table she said "What was that about?!" "What?!" Dean said trying not to smile.
John smiled at Ellen"Looks like Dean and Jo are getting along." John said pointing behind him. Ellen said jokingly"For that boys sake I hope not." John started laughing, and was followed by Ellen soon after. Then they smiled at each other.
