Chapter 21: Never Talk To Strangers

5 days before the wedding😱 (Sorry! I had to make a big time skip! The rest was boring!)

EREN'S POV

I was sitting down on a wooden chair in human form, my breathing uneasy and anxiety slapping me in the face like a bitch.
My father sat by me and on the other side was Mikasa. Across from us was Erwin and Levi, both of them frowning in human form.
All five of us sat in a little cafe that was in a nearby village, we sat in a private corner where nobody was able to hear us.
Father and I wore a hat to cover our ears, Mikasa wore a black head band that blend into her hair. While Erwin and Levi wore a dark green cloak, with a hood over there heads. And all of our tails under our shirts.
Complete silence, not awkward silence, a deadly silence lingered between all of us.
A waiter came by, gave us our drinks that we ordered earlier and left.
Father drank his coffee silently has he and Erwin still stared at each other.
"Wow, look have you grown Erwin. Last time I saw you, you just turned into a teen." I flinched a little when father spoke.
"And Levi, last time I saw you was like what? A month ago? Am I right, Eren?" I could tell he glanced at me, so I froze, not even letting out a single breath escape.
"Let's talk about why we are really here." Erwin's voice was deep and full of hate. Father shrugged as he leaned against the table crossing his arms, taking another drink from his coffee.
"Okay, fine then. Let's talk business." Father said as he placed down his cup.
"An alliance." Father said simply.
"Alliance." Erwin repeated.
"We've been fighting for way to long. This silly feud should stop." Erwin said.
"For I agree, we are all adults and should start acting like one." Erwin nodded.
"An alliance will be made today. Eren the contract." I  bent down, opening my bag. Before I could get up, I looked across the table to see Levi making a heart with his hands then pointing to me.
I blushed, getting up but hitting my head on the table.
I got up again rubbing my head, handing father the contract. When I looked at Levi, in his eyes I could see a sense of humor.
"Here, you may read over it. And if you agree you may sign." said father.
Erwin scanned through the paper, looking through the entire thing. He looked up asking "Got a pen?" Father nodded. He gave him a pen.
Erwin wrote his name down then giving the pen and paper back to father.
"Hmm we seem to be done here." Erwin said.
"Good, I have a meeting starting soon. I need to go. Let's go Eren and Mikasa." Father stood up as he grabbed his coat that was hanging from the chair.
"Wait." Erwin said as he got up from his spot.
"I would like the brown wolves come to Levi's and Petra's wedding. It's in 5 days from now. It would be a great opportunity for our packs to get to know each other." Erwin said.
"Thank you for the invite. We'll love to be there." Father said then the three of us walking out.
The wedding won't happen. I thought.

I was back at home, father left and Mikasa went to go see Annie. As for me, I decided to go for a little walk.
I was in human form walking through the forest. It was so nice and bright out. Nice and quiet, only the sound of dead leaves could be heard every time I took a step.
An hour later I decided to go back. As I was walking I could hear a nearby bush rustling like crazy. When I looked over, I saw a bunny. I picked it up gently as I pet the soft creature then placing it back down.
"Hello." a deep voice said behind me. I whipped around to be met with a black cloaked man and a fabric across my mouth.
I then felt weak and slowly started to see black. Then I felt myself fall, nothing.

???'s POV

I watched him look over the rustling bush picking up a bunny. As he petted the bunny, I thought this was a perfect time. I quietly sneaked up behind him as he gently placed the bunny back on to the ground.
"Hello." I said. Quickly he turned around as I shoved a towel on his mouth that had sleeping liquid on it.
He fell asleep, becoming limp in arms.
