I woke up in my bed on a Monday wishing I could roll over and kiss my love but today's a school day and I know how much he wants me to finish school so we could be together without distractions.

"Megan get up sweety school starts soon" my mom called from downstairs

I groaned but sat up and got a cute message from my prince

baby <3: hey baby girl good morning, I missed you last night, the bed was cold without you. I just wanted to say I love you and have a great day at school today. I'm picking you up from work tonight so be ready :*

I smiled and got ready for school.

"Megan your going to be late" my mom said handing me a glass of Orange juice and a slice of bread

"its fine" I lied

my mom has no idea I have study hall first period so I don't need to go in.

"no Megan its not "fine" why can't you be a normal teenager and do things like a normal teen!" my mom snapped as if she was holding it in for a long time

"did you really just fucking say that? to be "normal" your an asshole" I said almost breaking the glass

she kept yelling but I didn't listen, I went out to my car and left this hell hole so fast.

"hello? hi Megan McKay won't be attending school today. she doesn't feel well so I'm going to keep her home until she feels better. thank you" I lied acting like my mom

I drove down the high way till I came to the track. I walked over and sat on the bleachers watching the cars practice.

what did she mean be normal? did she know about me and James? no she couldn't have.

I couldn't take it. I picked up my phone and called up James

"baby if you get this I just want to say I didn't go to school today so I'm at the track. there's just so much going on" I left a message then hung up

I sat there watching them race each other and one of them I recognised. it was Johnny steel, one of the best drivers out there and my ex lover.

him and I used to go together for about a year close to two but things got in his way and I decided I didn't want that kind of person in my life.

"Megan McKay" he smiled and walked over to the bleachers where I was sitting

"the one and only" I smiled and walked over to the edge where he was standing

"what brings you down here?" he said

"ahh well just got to clear my head and you know how racing clears my mind" I said

"well you came to the right place" he smiled

"did you get a new car?" I said noticing his new ride

"2014, 4 cylinder and 100% plus At the end of the month its mine for good" He said as if he just got a gift for Christmas

"Wow Johnny, You've done good for yourself" I said

"Well Hey i Never Give up" He said and touched my arm

"Hey Why don't you take her for a drive, It will be like old times" He said holding out the key

"Oh i don't know Johnny, Its been so long since I've been on the road you know, After everything happened" I replied and ran My fingers threw my hair

"Don't worry Megan its safe, Just one time around the track " He said taking my hand

"Just once wont hurt" I sighed
