It was already late in the afternoon when Swanilda, Sethe and her gang left the shore. Soon, night came, but the sky grew menacingly darker than usaul as a mean and terrible tempest began to brew and soon sent the waves of the ocean crashing violently on the shore. Lightning flashed, the thunder roared, as heavy rains poured down heavily down the earth as the wind howled in fury.
At the shore, Wally the Whale and Pete the Pipit were waiting for Swanilda. Both wore worried expressions on their faces. Suddently a piercing scream tore the turbulent sky. Just as they were about to leave, out of nowhere came Dolph swiftly swimming towards the direction where Swanilda last headed.
Without wasting anytime, the young dolphin hoped to rescue his bestfriend before it was too late. Finally reaching the eye of the storm, Dolph saw that everything around him was in total darkness. Lightning flashed and Dolph saw Sethe and the rest of the seagulls frantically flying home. In great horror, there was no sign of Swanilda. The seagulls disappeared into the night sky while the storm raged on, making it even more difficult for Dolph to see.
"Where is she? Where is Swanilda!" Dolph cried out to them. But all his cry fell on deaf ears as Sethe and her gang flew passed him. In panic, he began his own frantic search for the missing swan. "Swanilda! Can you hear me? Where are you?"
Dolph called her name over and over again but there was no response. A frightening image of an unconscious Swanilda sinking into the deep sea entered his mind. Dolph brushed the thought away and prayed that Swanilda was not in danger.
She's alright, Dolph told himself, trying to convince himself that everything is going to be fine. She's a strong, tough, very stubborn swan. I know Swanilda's alright. Please tell me she's alright! She has to be alright!
Dolph continued looking for Swanilda until finally he heard his bestfriend call his name.
"Dolph! Help me! I'm here!" Swanilda cried aloud, "Please help me!"
"Swanilda!" Dolph shouted back trying to see through the dark storm to locate his bestfriend, "Where are you? Tell me where you are!"
Then Dolph saw Swanilda frantically flapping her wings towards his direction when multiple lightning flashed around her. Dolph swiftly went to meet his bestfriend and go the her aid when a shockwave from a lightning bolt knocked her unconscious.
