"Ok", thought Caroline," We are going to get out of here soon. We'll get home! I wonder if my family misses me and if I missed anything important. How long have we been here? What if nobody remembers me because it's been so long? How old is Abby now? How are my dogs doing..." "Caroline?" Brayden asked. "Sorry, I was thinking and you know how that usually goes." "Yeah, are you ready to leave?" Emily had just joined them "You know it!" Brayden chuckled and they set off towards the front of the fortress.
***The next day***
"Are you alright there Em?" Asked Jonah who had Emily on his back "Shh!" Brayden said and pointed to Emily. She was asleep. "Oh Emily" Caroline said. They had to only travel at night and hide in the day. Word had gotten out that Emily was missing but the guards didn't really care. She was just a meet human after all.
