RAYL: After Dark

"Charge!" I yelled wielding my scythe. Yin smirked. Her flames flickered then ignited. "Can you keep up?" I asked. She nodded. "Of course I can." She said shooting.

I looked back at mom and winking. She used her semblance and disappeared into rose petals. She appeared next to me. "Yes?" She asked giddily. "Do you wanna help?" I asked. She nodded. "I'll allow it." I said smiling. She g
ave her team a thumbs up.

Yin punched Louis in the face. Yang was next to her shooting Grimm. Blake was shooting Grimm that were getting too close. I fought Chess, being guarded by my parents.  Amber and Lily were fighting Rocket.

Yin kicked Louis and she collided with Rocket.

Amber turned to kill a Grimm and got kicked. Yin hissed and her fire burned black. "Don't touch her!" She yelled shooting. She ran to Amber.

"Just die already!" Chess yelled kicking me in the chest. I swung my scythe at her and she screamed in pain.

"The hell man!" She yelled punching me. She ran towards an abandoned building and disappeared. I sighed and ran back into the battle.

"Where is she?" I asked. Louis and Rocket were being interrogated. Rocket whimpered when I slammed my fists on the table. Yin pushed me back. "Stop, I got this." She said sternly. I nodded and she sat across from them.

Yin

"Can you tell me where Chess is?" I asked. Rocket looked up at Rue and snarled. "Not with him here!" She yelled. I put a hand on her shoulder. "Calm down. Rue can you please leave?" I asked him. He glared at them and left.

"So, can you answer my question now?" I asked removing my hand from her shoulder. She sat back down. "If you answer mine." She bargained. I nodded.

"Where's Chess?" I asked. She looked at Louis. "Most likely at the den, if not she's still at Mountain Glenn." Louis answered. I nodded. "Why do you work for humans?" Rocket asked.

"Because I grew up with them. I think- I know that we'll all get along. We already are, except for you guys." I concluded. Louis raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?" She asked glaring at me.

"Answer another one of my questions and I'll tell you." I replied crossing my arms. "Why do you follow Chess?" I asked. "Like as if... You didn't you would die." I said explaining. "She's my mate and alpha. I have to." Rocket said sadly. "She's my sister and alpha. She's stronger than me. Putting fear into others. I'm scared of her." Louis said frowning. Rocket whimpered.

"Why didn't you answer the calling?" Louis asked consoling Rocket. "I did. I agreed, until now. I don't want that, I want to have a normal, happy life. With Amber." I said smiling. Rocket sobbed loudly. "I didn't want to live like this!" She wailed into Louis's shirt.

"Do you need a moment?" I asked. Louis nodded. I stood up and walked out, the door locked automatically. "What did they say?" Rue asked.

I pushed him backwards a little. "They're just broken faunus in need of repair." I said crossing my arms. "What did they say. I need to report it." He commanded. I sighed. "They're scared. They didn't want to live like that, they're scared of Chess." I said. He nodded. "Go on..." I sighed. "That's it, I'm still gaining they're trust." I said.

He nodded and walked away. I opened the door and sat down again. "Any more questions?" I asked. "Why do you trust humans?" Rocket asked. "I wouldn't be alive without humans. My dad is one." I said shrugging.

"Who do you work for?" I asked. Louis sighed. "I don't know, Chess never said anything." She said. I looked at Rocket. "Don't tell her I said this, okay?" Rocket said softly. I nodded. "We work for Chess, who works for Clint." She said hugging her knees. "I overheard her on the phone once." She added.

"Do you have any family?" Louis asked. I nodded. "Of course, my mom, my dad, m-" "I meant your own family." She said interrupting me. "I have Amber, kids aren't the best idea right now." I said. Rocket rolled her eyes. "That was late." She said hissing.

"What?" I asked. She smiled at me. "Congrats." I said grinning. Amber knocked on the door. I opened it and she hugged me. "Too much work." She whined. I laughed and picked her up. "But I have to finish." I said softly. She smiled. "I'll help." She said grinning. I can't say no to that face. I really can't, she would kick my ass.

"Okay." I said putting her down. I sat down in my chair. "Can you explain the calling to me?" I asked. Louis growled. "Your a faunus, you should know already!" She yelled. I sighed and looked at her sadly. "I know, that's why I'm asking you." She stopped growling. "Sorry. The calling is your animal trying to take over your body. It happens to all of us, unless you are prey. Once your animal controls you it's almost impossible to come back." She said. I raised an eyebrow. "But I fought mine." She smiled sadly. "You won the battle, not the war." She said softly.

"What does that mean?" I asked. She smirked. "You'll find out." Rocket said sadly. I frowned. "Don't listen to it." Louis said.

"O-Okay."

"Yin, are you okay?" Amber asked. I looked up from my book. "Yeah, why do you ask?" I replied closing it. "Your reading and your tail is wrapped around your upper thigh. You only do that when your upset." She said concerned.

"I'm fine."

"You sure."

"Yeah."
