"Tris, when then?" he asks through a pillow.
"In a minute." I tell him. Four huffs and I giggle. I can't help it. The giggles turn into a laugh that is irresistible. The laughter takes away the pain, if only for a minute. Only he knows what I'm going through. He did after all 'lose' his mother. Yet all those years of grief turned into resentment. I hope she dies soon. Then all together we'll have zero in-laws considering Marcus died a few months back. He doesn't say it but I know he wishes the same thing.
"Want some water?" I ask as I crawl out of the bed. Four doesn't answer so he obviously fell back asleep. He does work the graveyard shift so at least he has an excuse. He only works four days a week though. I think he did that on purpose. 'The great and mysterious Four only needs to work FOUR days a week!', probably not like that though. The other days he's either sleeping, talking to me and our friends, or when it's time training the transfers with me. During training, he calls me Six and I call him Four. Except for when we're alone. His name is Tobias then. And mine goes back to Tris. Weird, I know. Even Uriah calls me Six. I walk across the cold tile to the fridge. I grab a bottle of water and take my time going back to our room. I had moved in with Tobias about a month or so after I became a member of Dauntless. There were nightmares every might until he finally convinced me to move in. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Actually it was comfortable. I take a sip before I sit the bottle on the little table beside the bed. I climb into the bed and snuggle next to the strong, muscular back I know belongs to Tobias. He's warm so I fall asleep sooner than I thought I would.

I'm up before Tobias. That's strange. I come back from the bathroom and go over to him. He doesn't even flinch when I flick his ear. So I go and grab the thermometer from under the sink. According to the little piece of plastic, he has a fever. I toss it aside and grab him from under his arms and drag him into a sitting position. I'm grabbing his legs to pull his feet onto the ground when I hear a moan.
"Trissy, what are you doing?" he's obviously delirious because he knows I absolutely hate and resent that name.
"I'm taking you down to the clinic," I say in voice that I use with small children.
He crosses his arms and pouts, "No. I don't wanna."
"Fine," I huff and I go into the bathroom. He doesn't realize I'm running a cold bath just for him. He sleeps in athletic shorts so he's nit totally naked. I turn the water off and hurry back over to Tobias. He's semi-conscious now so I only have to help him stay up straight as we walk to the bathroom. He climbs in the tub like I hoped he would. I tell him I'll be right back. He only nods and shivers. I put on some shoes and run to the clinic.
