Ariana

Here we all are sitting down in metal black chairs, in the gym at the amazing college of Florida. University of Florida. I was wearing a really long black dress along with my gown and the cap on my head. I straightened my hair and kept it down for a change.

It has always been my dream to go here, but it has been my goal to graduate. Now that the day has come it feels as if a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I have finally accomplished something without a serious situation holding me back.

I looked back at my parents sitting way far behind us. My mom had her head on my dads shoulder while their hands were locked together. They were both smiling. Happiness and excitement ran through my body. I smiled and looked up at the stage at people giving speeches about them staying on campus. Natalia and I volunteered to give a speech since two people signed up for it and we couldn't leave the school with only two volunteers. So now there are four us. The other two have finished up their speeches and now it's time for Natalia and I to speak.

"Thank you for your wonderful speeches," One of the professors said while standing up to the podium with the microphone attached to it. Everyone applaud for a few seconds and began to quiet down. "Now it's time for Ariana and Natalia to begin their speeches."

Everyone applaud again we placed our diplomas on our chairs and started making our way to the stage with our arms linked together. We stayed like that until Natalia took a seat behind me and I stood up behind the podium. Everyone stopped clapping. I looked over at my friend as she mouthed 'You got this' to me. I smiled and returned back to the audience. I smiled at them and started reading my speech. It was very short for a speech but it will pass.

I started talking about the professors and the work that went along with my courses. I had stopped short hearing the doors of the school open up one by one in each corner. Three guys came strolling in around the same time picking random spots in the back to seat themselves.

I'm guessing they were someone's older brother. I looked back at the audience as they turned around to see what I was looking at. By the time they looked they all seemed confused. I then continued to close up the speech as they turned back around. "Anyways.. I had a great time spending my years here and being happy to see new faces. Thank you University of Florida." Everyone clapped again. I turned around and seen my friend looking at me confused. She brought me into a hug and said, "What was that about?" While whispering against my ear. I whispered back saying, "Daydreaming again." I formed a little smile on my face but felt a little curious to what had just happened.

"You need to see a doctor about that, Ari." She said jokingly. I nod my head slowly as she pulled away from the hug and sitting me down.
