Ariana

After that five hour flight, I woke up to a safe landing on the concrete grounds ahead and the California airport building on the side. I can't believe I had slept for the whole flight, and so did my parents and my friends. It was good to be back home. I loved the same old beautiful Palm Trees that swayed in the breeze. All I cans think about, in this moment is getting home to rest my legs and mind for a while.

I smiled, inhaling a huge breath of air, savoring this beautiful day of finally being back to normality and to try my best at finding a job. Good thing I have enough money in the bank to support me while I'm on my job search.

My stomach started to turn as I had remembered that the guy did take the same flight as us and he did situated himself in the seat that is next to me. I turned my head to the right noticing that he wasn't there anymore. I guess he was in a hurry and rushed off but now I can feel at ease since he is no longer in sight.

I turned my head to look over at Natalia. Her head rested off of Dylan's shoulder. I smiled at the sight standing up slowly. I made my way over towards the two of them still smiling.

"We're home."

"I'm glad we are. My legs are cramped up." She stood, stretching her arms up. "By the way, who was that guy that sat next to you?"

My body ran cold as soon as she had mentioned him. I don't know who he was but it was very strange seeing him once again out of nowhere. How many people could say that they have seen the same person more than once in one day? Not much.

"I don't know, nor do I care. It's my birthday and we're not going to let any distractions bother us, okay?"

"Are you alright, Ariana?"

"Yes, I'm fine. Let's go before you waste our whole plans away."

I grabbed my bags from above my seat, wheeling them behind me. I walked off before my parents and friends, hoping to end all conversations.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Ariana? Why are you acting so strange all of a sudden?"

"I just want to get to my house, is that too much to ask for?"

"Ariana." My parents said scoldingly.

"You know what, I think it's better if I just go alone. I'll see you all tomorrow." I lugged around my suitcase and other bags behind me, making my way inside to call a taxi. I sat down in a chair slouching slightly, crossing one leg over the other.

When my family and friends came inside, they didn't bother to say a word. I didn't blame them because who knows how I would react again.
