As I swiped to unlock my phone, it led me straight to the message.

Unknown Number: Hey
Me: ..hey? Who is this?
Unknown Number: It's Shawn
Me: Mendes?
Unknown Number: Yeah
Me: Oh Hi

I changed his contact name to 'Shawn🎤'
I would've left it as just Shawn but I added a microphone to his name knowing that he is in the schools Choir. He's pretty good.

Shawn🎤: Haha hey how are you?
Me: I'm good you?
Just wondering... how did you get my number?
Shawn🎤: Oh Briana gave it to me .... I asked for it actually
Me: lol why couldn't u just ask me?
I was curious as to why he would want to all of a sudden talk to me, but excited at the same time.

Shawn🎤: ....Cuz I was too shy to ask you for it
Me: Oh

OH? OH!? that's all you can come up with?! OH!? OH! oh God as I scolded myself my phone rang. My best friend Brianna was calling.

'Hey girl what's up ?'
'Hey and nothing much why?'
'I was just wondering if you wanted to go to the mall with me?'
'Yea sure text me the details I'm gonna get ready'
'Kk see u later'
'Alright see ya soon'

I never liked saying bye over the phone or in person I hated the fact that if I said goodbye to someone I cared about that something bad would happen to them.

Brianna had texted me that we would meet up at Starbucks and walk to the mall that was across the street.

I took a shower and blow dried my hair, and got dressed in
-Black high waisted jeans
-a white crop top
-some white Adidas for shoes
-a gold infinity necklace and some rings on my fingers as accessories
-and a black Adidas jacket
After I got dressed I applied a coat of mascara, and small winged eyeliner. I wasn't really into makeup when I went out with friends to like the mall or places like that. But if it were to a party that's when I would put on heavy make up. By that time I was ready and headed to my car. I got my phone out and went  on Snapchat.

I took a picture of the side of the road and once I came to a stop. I captioned 'On My Way To Steal Yo Girl' I posted it and got out of the car and made my way to Starbucks.

I opened the door to reveal the smell of coffee and the cool air from inside. I saw Brianna sitting at a table already sipping on her drink as I ordered mine.
"Hi can I get a frappucino decaf please" "of course name?" "Lexie" "ok your total is *random number cuz idk*" I payed for my drink and waited by the counter.

I took my drink and went to sit by my friend.

"Hey girl" I say as I sit down. She had looked up and a smile crept up on here face.
"Hey!" She exclaimed.

We had talked about our up coming graduation.

"Finally we get out of that hell hole!" She said. I nodded my head agreeing as I drank the remainders of my drink.

"So I heard that you gave Shawn my number" i said.
"Yeah he practically begged me for it, he seems to like you in my opinion" She explained. As she said that Shawn had texted after about 2 hours.

Shawn🎤: 'Hey sorry about the lag um.. can I ask you something?'
Me: 'Hey, it's cool but wassup?'
Shawn🎤: ' do you want to meet up at the park? '
Me: 'Sure right now?'
Shawn🎤: ' yeah if that's OK with u?'
Me: 'yeah that's fine lemme get ready real quick and I'll meet you there'
Shawn🎤: ' ok sounds like a plan I'll meet you there '

I got up from the chair, my phone in my back pocket nd drink in the other

"I gotta go I'm meeting shawn in like 15 minutes" I said as I hugged Brianna good bye.
"Kk text me later so you can tell me all about it" She replied acting as if we were going on a date.
"Ok I'll see ya later" I said over my shoulder,walking out into the cool air and into my car.

**Skip to the park**

Shawns POV

Right when She said yes, I sprung off the couch and ran up the stairs into my room.
I pulled out a green flannel and a pair of black pants and my black shoes.

I ran into the bathroom fixing my hair and brushing my teeth for the third time today.
I was making my way out of the door when I decided to take my guitar if we got bored.
Then I ran out the door and ran to the park.
'She must be waiting and I'm over here acting like it's the end of the world' I panted and I ran to see her barely getting to sit on the picnic benches pulling out her phone.

I ran over to her clutching n to my guitar that was resting on my back.
"Hey I'm here" I said opening my arms to pull her in a hug
