Working Together

Ciel's POV

"Can I come in, my lord?"

"Yes come in" I say while looking at some paper work

"The queen has sent you a letter" he says and hands it to me

My eyes widen on upon reading the letter

"Is something wrong, my lord"

"Oh noting just Miss (Y/N) is coming to stay with us for a while, the queen wants us to work together" I say

"Do you want me to get the guest bedroom ready then my lord?"

"Y-yes, and hurry up she also states she's coming today"

"Yes my lord" he bows and leaves the room

(Y/N) and I are going to be working together now. I wonder why that is.

I thought about the last time I saw her, she was beautiful but I can't let my emotions get in the way of my duty

But yet her eyes are so shiny and her hair how it glistened in the moon light

"My lord, Miss (Y/N) has already arrived"

"W-what, so soon" I got up and go outside to meet her she was wearing a blue dress which looked amazing on her

"Earl Phantomhive, I am terribly sorry for this. I know you work alone but I simply cannot argue with the queen"

"N-no, its quite alright Miss (L/N), I don't mind at all" I could barely speak

"Well in that case call me (Y/N), no need for formalities" she said ever in a gentle voice

"Well in that case call me just Ciel"

"Well now Miss (Y/N), I will bring your bags to your room, then I can show you around" Sebastian said

"Sebastian go take her bags to her room and I'll show her around"

Sebastian bowed and left with the bags

I heard a sigh coming out of (Y/N)

"Is everything alright" I asked

"Yes, just talking so formal is so weird to me" she said smiling "And also I'm not used to dresses, since I have to move around a lot I don't wear them that much"

"Oh well you don't have to talk formal to me, just talk normally to me"

"Will do"

"But about the dress" I began "it looks quite nice on you"

Why did I say that? I must look like a complete fool, I can feel my cheeks start to become red

"Well thank you" she said with a smile

"Now let me show you the mansion" she nodded in reply and walked next to me

I showed her the whole staff Baldo, Finny, Mey-Rin and Tanaka.

While introducing herself she always had on a bright smile on, which made me nervous

Finally I took her to her room where she can relax for a bit until dinner.

~time skip~

(Y/N) sat right across from me at the dinner table. She looked so flawless I couldn't look away from her

"Hello? Ciel?"

"Uh w-what? Sorry I spaced out a bit" i said trying to hide the fact that I was staring at her

"Its okay"

"But (Y/N) I want to know more about you since we will be working together for a while" I asked hoping she would agree

"Well there's noting much, I already told you who I am what I am"

"Y-yes, you're the queens White Cat and also a reaper."

"Correct"

"And also how you are the queens knight and also assassin. I also heard you manipulate men with your beauty to do your job"

"You already know me well" she said

"But w-what about your p-past" I hesitantly ask

Her eyes widen and she doesn't say a word until finally she speaks

"Do not dwell in the past since the past is no longer here" she said with a cold tone

After dinner she didn't say a thing until she went to bed in which case she said good night and left to her room.

I go to my room and Sebastian helps me get ready for bed.

"Is everything alright my lord?" Sebastian snaps me back from my thoughts

"Y-yes, everything is fine" I look towards the window and see the night sky

I want to know more about you (Y/N). . .
