CHAPTER TWO:

*Teagan’s POV*

Me and Kirsten sit in class staring with wide eyes at the sight that had just walked through the door and entered the room for approximately 5 seconds before being rushed to the nurse by our oh-so-dramatic teacher.

If you haven’t already guessed, Luke was that sight we were staring wide eyed at. I forgot that he was meant to be in my current class when I sent that message to Kyle… meaning I also forgot that, if Kyle was to do something, I would see the result when he eventually came to class after kissing that slut.

Honestly, I hate that word, but it describes her well.

Anyway, back to Luke’s short entrance into the class – Let’s just say it wasn’t a pretty sight. I mean, Luke isn’t exactly the most handsome guy ever anyway, but this didn’t do him any favours.

Originally, Luke had swishy chocolate brown hair that matched his big brown eyes, fairly slim build with not a lot of muscle and a slight permanent tan.  Currently, he had extremely messy brown hair, as though he had just got out of bed, a crooked nose with blood pouring out the nostrils, a slight fat lip and very creased clothing. Oh, and he looked rather pissed off, however knowing him it was probably due to the fact he looked messy, not the fact that he was in pain and more than likely just got very beat up by Kyle.

Luke was obsessed with looking tidy.

Just before he got ushered out the room by a very concerned looking Mr Sharp, Luke’s eyes met mine for a brief second and flashed an emotion which looked a lot like guilt. Who am I kidding? He’s not guilty. He’s a lying, cheating, dirty scumbag.

Of course that’s just my head talking.  I can feel my heart aching and sinking down into the pit of my stomach. Of course I still love him, I can’t just not love him like that.

But I have some serious thinking to do.

My life is difficult. I know there are probably people with much worse lives than me, but believe me, my life isn’t the easiest to cope with.

At the beginning of this year my Mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. My auntie was diagnosed with it last year, however she had an operation to remove the tumour and everything was successful. Unfortunately, my mother’s cancer was an aggressive type and everything didn’t seem to be going how the Doctors had planned.

It’s now December.

Currently, she’s in and out of hospital. Monday to Friday she has to go in for a 15 minute Chemotherapy session which is making her incredibly weak. It’s hard for me to see her like it. This time last year she was fine, no-one knew she was going to fall seriously ill, it just happened.

Kirsten hit me, making me jump out of my seat. I looked at her suddenly realising I should go after him and have this out with him face to face. My heart started beating rapidly as I felt tears begin to make another appearance. I gave my bestfriend a slight smile before sprinting out of the classroom to follow the trail of blood that was on the floor.

I was planning out all sorts of things to say to him in my head. I hated him. He had broke my heart. I don't want anything to do with him anymore. He's horrible. He's a liar. He's a- Uh oh.

I look up only to find out I had followed the trail of blood that Luke must have took on the way to the classroom, meaning I had been led to the place where he had been beat up.

The place where I was about 15 minutes ago.

The place where my heart got broke in two.

The place where I'd much rather just erase from my memory.
