Reiner x reader

A/N: okie dokie time for the brawny (brauny? Get it...Braun...his last name...ok I'll stop) blonde darling~
*WARNING: SPOILERS!!!*

      (Y/n) P.O.V~

     Everyone misunderstands them. The 'shifter gang' I mean. Although no one knows that anyone besides Eren is a shifter, my dear friends are still labelled as 'mean' and 'scary'.

These friends I am talking about are Annie, Bertholdt, and my secret crush...Reiner. Sure they kinda have a ruff exterior but once you get to know them they're quite nice and they protect the ones they care about.

I've been with them since the fall of Shinganshina (did I spell that correctly??) and they made sure I was safe. No, I'm not a shifter but they are like a family to me, and we are all the others have. But anyways on with the love part of this story cause that is what you dear readers are here for. (Author-chan stop breaking the fourth wall!!!)

Over the years of being with them I have found that they are all quite protective of me, especially Reiner. I guess that's what made me have a crush on him in the first place.

Sadly though I feel my love is one sided, I think he views me more as a little sister than a love interest. I'm fairly sure he likes the blonde girl, Krista. Then again, who doesn't? She a goddess for fucks sake.

I don't blame him, I'm just plain old (y/n). Anyways though back to the current situation. I'm sitting in the dinning hall next to Annie, Reiner across from me and Bertholdt across from her.

Reiner is currently rambling on about how precious Krista's blonde hair is and how her eyes are like pools of happiness. Needless to say I tuned what he said out. It was like he was trying to rub it in my face, how perfect she is.

But what really set me off were a few certain words that made my heart feel like it was being torn to shred by Titans. "God she is the perfect girl, no ones better. I swear I think I'm in love."

The words left Reiner's mouth without hesitation and it pushed me well over my breaking point. Within a moment I was out the door, tears threatening to fall. I had to leave...I can't let the see me cry.

"I knew it. He loves her. I just have to give up...I'm nothing to him." My thoughts hurt me and caused more tears to fall. I've made it to the woods and I lean against a tree. As I slide down it my strong façade completely crumples and I'm left all alone on a forest floor, with nothing but my pain to soothe me.

Reiner's P.O.V~

(Y/n) ran out of the dining hall clearly disturbed. My heart clenched as I soon became aware of the huge mistake I've just made. "Reiner? You're an idiot." Annie spoke coldly whilst sending me a death glare.

"I thought you liked her Reiner, but you were over rambling nonstop about Krista. All the while (y/n) was being clearly broken.....it's almost as if you did it on purpose.." The more Bertholdt spoke the more guilty I felt.

I do like (y/n), I honestly do....but Bertholdt is right...I did it on purpose. I wasn't trying to hurt her I just wanted to make her jealous. But I took things way to far. "I'm such an idiot!" I shouted, eyes now turning towards me.

"Yah, you are. But what now? You just hurt the one you love and our best friend. How are you going to atone for that Reiner?" Annie spoke softly but it was very evident she was pissed. "I need to go find her and apologise!"

Without giving them time to respond I dashed out of the dining hall in search of the one I truly love. "(Y/N)!!!! PLEASE ANSWER ME!!" I shouted as loud as I could manage, hoping to hear the sound of her honey sweet voice.

Alas I got no such response, but as I approached the woods, my shouting still ongoing, I heard faint sniffling somewhere amongst the brush. I stop my noise and follow the sound.

After a few minutes I stumbled upon a sight I wish I never saw. (Y/n) was sitting with her back to a tree, her knees to her chest. Her entire body wracked with sobs as you could almost see her heart breaking.

She didn't notice my presence so I quietly approached her and gently laid a hand on her shoulder. She jumped and let out a yelp in alarm. As soon as she noticed it was me though, she turned away and shook my hand off her shoulder.

My heart broke as I realised what a big mistake I've made. "Please leave me alone Reiner." Her voice was hoarse from crying and it made me feel even worse than before.

"(Y/n)...I'm so sorry, I'm such an asshole. I knew you had a crush on me and I liked you too so I said all that stuff about Krista...but the truth is I just wanted to make you jealous." As I spilled the truth to her, shock became evident on her face.

It only lasted an instance though as her face suddenly became overtaken with rage. "YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU DID ALL THIS ON PURPOSE?!? YOU INTENTIONALLY BROKE MY HEART YOU FUCKING DOUCHE BAG!!"

It was strange to hear that coming from (y/n) because she is usually such a quiet and sweet girl. It was a real slap in the face of reality to show just how hurt she is. "I don't deserve your forgiveness (y/n) and I know that, I just want you to know that I truly am sorry and I was serious. I love you."

As I said those last three words I looked straight into her absolutely gorgeous eyes. She suddenly stopped all actions. She froze like a statue and returned my sincere gaze with her own shocked one. It made me wonder what was to come next.

(Y/n) P.O.V~

To say I was pissed was an understatement. I could not believe he had the audacity to do something like that. But as he said those three words, all of my rage melted away. I could see the sincerity in his eyes and I knew he wasn't lying to me.

Before I knew what I was doing I jumped towards him and wrapped my arms around his muscular body. I felt a chuckle leave his body and he returned my embrace. Encasing me in his large arms. I was so happy to hear those words...the words I have always longed to hear.

"I love you too Reiner." I spoke in a whisper but he could hear me loud and clear. He pulled me back and stared into my eyes, a large smile plastered upon his face. He slowly leaned towards me and I shut my eyes, awaiting his next action.

In the next instance he soft lips met mine. It was a gentle kiss but it held all the words we couldn't say aloud. Our lips dance in a beautiful embrace until the need for oxygen became to much.

We both pulled back simultaneously and held the eye contact awhile longer. After a moments silence he spoke up "(y/n)...please say you'll be mine." His voice held desperation and passion, I didn't hesitate with my reply "do you even need to ask?" And with that I pulled him into another kiss, this will be the start of something beautiful.

A/N: I really don't know how I feel about this one but I don't think it was TO bad, but I do hope it was to your liking. Anyways though I hope you enjoyed and keep reading my lovelies~💕
