Tempest woke slowly and surveyed her surroundings; there was a fire crackling in a deep granite fireplace warming the right side of her body. Opening her eyes slowly she stretched her muscles and purred at the glorious feeling. As she lay on the leather couch a blanket fell off her body, she noticed her was wearing Asher’s shirt and Cain’s silk boxers. Raising the shirt she saw claw marks raking down her sides. The scrapes were still slightly tender, but she would take a few aches any day if it meant she could do that again.
Standing up she trod across the plush carpet into a kitchen; peaking in she saw her mates shirtless around an island counter top. Wrapping her arms around Lucian and purred deeply, “What a sight to wake up to every morning.”
Lucian whipped around, picking her up he cuddled her like a baby to his chest. She tried to move but couldn’t budge in his arms, scowling she said, “Let me down.”
He smiled down at her and whispered, “Never.” Before lightly biting on her ear.
She let out a whimper when he drew away from her with a satisfied smirk on his face. Trying to change the subject as her mates began closing in on her when they smelled her arousal she complained, “I was promised food.”
Cain and Asher stopped stalking towards her, Asher pouted, “Fine, ruin all the fun.”
As Lucian walked towards the table with her still in his arms she called over her shoulder, “Don’t worry, there will be plenty of fun later.”
She was rewarded with her mates’ lusty growls. Perching on Lucians lap she wolfed down the blueberry pancakes Asher made.
“Where exactly are we?” she asked when she finished inhaling her breakfast.
“Alaska. Twenty years ago we bought a piece of land, over 100,000 acres large. There aren’t any cities for miles; this is our long term plan for the future. We will build our own unofficial town; a self-sufficient community where no-one will be around to notice that we don’t grow old. Everyone already has their own businesses and we can export and import any items we need to on the internet.”
Tempest eyes lit up with excitement, never having to move again, having a place to actually call home, it was a dream come true. “Can I see?”
Not waiting for an answer she ran to the entree way and flung the door open wide. Peering outside she saw clusters of cabins all around in there was a huge mansion in the distance.
Her mates came up behind her, “There are over one-hundred cabins, they range from one bedroom to five bed rooms. The mansion in the distance would be for visiting packs, meetings and pack dinners. There is also a pool, basketball court, training arena and a prison in there. To the right is a small school for pups, since there aren’t many children it isn’t that big. There are also some gardens for what we can grow up here and a town square where the pack can make and sell their items. What they can’t sell here can be sold online from websites.”
Cain asked her hesitantly, “Do you like it?”
“I only have one problem.” Asher, Cain and Lucian glanced at one another worriedly. “I think we should allow all species of super naturals here. We can have a set of rules to follow and a council that will have at least one member of each species on it as well as some consultants. Even rouges can join, as long as they follow the rules; it will be a safe haven for all supernatural creatures. We can call it Safe Haven.”
She looked up at her mates cautiously after her speech, “What do you think?”
After a long pause Cain replied, “I think we have a lot of work to do.”
Tempest smile brightly before jumping into his welcoming embrace.
