This chapter has the first R-rated scene.... Just warning you

Tempest woke up for the first time since her pride had been killed feeling good. Shifting back into her human form she realized her mates weren’t in the room with her, glancing around with blurry eyes she saw a piece of paper on the bedside table. Snatching it up she glared at the words written in bold ink.

            Kitten,

No doubt by the time you are done reading this you will be very mad, for that we are sorry. We have left to take care of Natalia and figure out what we are going to do with her. DON’T under any circumstance leave this room; the door is lock and two of our best fighters are posted outside. We will return to your side by eight o’clock tonight.

                        With love forever,

                                    Cain, Asher, Tristan

A furious yowl tore through her jaws, growling she tore the note up. How dare they lock her up like an everyday criminal? Glancing at the clock she saw that it was seven o’clock, only one hour before her mates returned. Looking around she spied a window and a smirk formed on her face.

Asher, Lucian and Cain were on their way down to their office when a furious yowl tore through the air.

“Looks like she read the letter,” smirked Asher, “And boy is she pissed.”

“It’s for her own safety, having Natalia attack her shows just how vulnerable we are, besides I like to think of her anger as foreplay. But on a more serious note I want all pack members eighteen and up training for battle, even females,” Cain said.

“I agree,” Lucian replied, “But I think we should give the children basic training techniques, hopefully they won’t be necessary, but we need to be safe.”

Walking into their office they saw Natalia perched cautiously on the edge of a sofa. Cain began talking, “Although I want to see you banished for what you did to our mate, it would be unfair to punish you and not myself. I’m sorry for the way my brothers and I treated you, our mate was right. Somewhere out there you have mates who love you, they will care for you in ways that we never could; but I expect you to apologize to our mate. Make no mistake I will kill you if you ever attack Tempest again.” His once soft tone was filled with an angry promise.

Natalia slowly stood up, “Thank you alphas.” She whispered before rushing out of the room. Once she was gone he took off, practically running up the stairs with the prospect of seeing his mate again, Lucian and Asher were close behind him. Bursting into the room he could feel that something was off. A breeze touched their faces gently; his head whipped to the side, the window was open and their mate was nowhere in site. Growling Cain stalked over to the window, “Shit,” he cursed, “Where did she go?” his wolf was exited for the chase, but his human side was worried for her safety.

Leaping out of the window he shifted into his wolf and began running after Tempest, tracking her scent. He was soon joined by Lucian, Asher and the pack betas. Nose to the ground he had only been running ten minutes before he reached Tempest’s destination, a nightclub. He cocked his head to the side, confused; he would have thought she would be half way out of the state by now, not meandering around some nightclub.

Shifting into his human form Cain was ready to storm through the doors, but he was halted by a hand on his chest. Looking into his lead beta’s eyes he growled, “Let me go, my mate needs me.”
