One in a Million (5 Seconds of Summer Luke Hemmings)

"Fine! I'm sure your life would be soo much better without me anyways!" I yelled back at my stepfather.

"You know what, I think you're right Stephanie. Why don't you just leave?" my stepfather Dan replied rather calmly.

So that's exactly what I did.

I packed a small bag and walked out the front doors to a place that I don't call home. I called a cab for a ride to the airport and left for the only real family I had anymore.

I left and haven't been back for two years and dont plan on going back.

*Present day*

"Good bye Ridge Wood high school." I said under my breath as I walked out the doors of my school for the past two years.

I was so glad to get out of there but the only thing I would miss was Riley.

Riley was the first and only friend I have had since I moved in with my aunt in Sydney.

I unlocked the car door to my baby blue Prius and started to pull out of the parking lot before I heard my name being called.

"Steph! Steph wait!"

I looked out my window to see Riley running towards my car and rolled it down. " Need a ride girl?"

"Please! I thought you were going to make me walk! You got out of there so fast". She said almost out of breath, her accent really showing, while getting into my car.

"You want to go do something now that it's officially summer?" I asked

"Sorry I have to pack for the States but you're always welcome to come and help?" Riley said with a grin.

"Fine why the heck not."

We pulled up to her house, jumped out of the car and ran inside and upstairs to her bedroom.

I walked in and fell back onto her bed remembering all the secrets we shared and funniest times in this room. This was where I told her about my 'family' and why I came to Australia in the first place.

I just laid there admiring the purple walls filled with posters.

"You going to get off your lazy ass and help or not?"

I sighed snapping back to reality and asked,

"Where do I start?"

Four bags packed and three hours later we sat on the couch flipping through tv channels.

"I can't believe you're leaving me here while you go have fun in LA." I said breaking the silence.

"You know I wanted you to come so badly! Im going to need some girl time, this vacation may be cool but it's way to much family bonding."

"Well just don't have to much fun without me."
