I, Belle McLoughlin, pledge to be the most craving crazy mother to be.

Seriously though, it gives me a chance to eat. More than I used to. Which was still a lot.

"Belle? I couldn't hear you. I thought the connection was lost. You didn't reply. Why didn't you show up?"

"I-I I don't-"

"I get it. You don't want hang out with someone like me."

"NO! I'm not saying that!"

"Then what are you saying?" He says, exasperated.

"My life is pretty messed up right now."

Look come and meet me. In the cafe called 'Take A Sip.'

Theo stood up to greet me."So, what is going on in your life?"

"I'm-Can I trust you?"

He nodded, his lips a grim line.

I passed him the test. I looked down at my lap as I wait for his reaction.

"Oh honey, it's going to be all right."

"Really?" I question, my voice unbelieving.

We continue to talk, until the sun goes down.

"Theo? I've got to go. I'll tell you when I get home."

"Mhmm. See ya Bellie!"

Bellie. I like it.

Walking over to my car, I unlock the door.

Sliding into the driver's seat, I switch on the radio.

I sang quietly.

I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted.....

I remember the day you told me you were leaving . I remember the makeup running down your face.
And the dreams you left behind you didn't need them. Like every single wish we ever made.

I wish I could wake up with amnesia.
And forget about the stupid little things.
Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you. And the memories I could never escape.

The second part of the chorus hits me hard.

I cry against the steering wheel, my heart heavy.
