Dream Talking Chapter 5

Alex's POV

I hear some banging on the door, so I turn down my music and answer it.

“Would you turn off that damn music and go to sleep!” my mother demands.

“Sorry,” I say and she shuts the doors.

After turning off my iPod and docking station, had a shower, brushed my hair and dressed, it was already twelve o'clock. Its not like I spent over forty minutes in the shower (note the sarcasm.)

Slipping into my comfy bed, I fell asleep instantly.

~My Dream~

I was wandering around town at night, usually I never walk around in this area unless I have a friend with me.

Reaching a sign I read it, Down Town Area.

Shuddering I take a step, then another and another.

I feel quite vulnerable in just a pair of denim shorts, a black tank top, a leather jacket and converses.

The cold breeze was whipping around my bare skin, making me shiver. All the hairs on the back of my neck were standing on their ends. I don't know why I was here, in this area of town, all alone, but there must be some reason.

Fate maybe? No, that just sounds weird.

Wandering down the empty streets, I could hear the thumping of the music from the clubs that littered this area of town. Most people come here to just relax, to get drunk and party. I one the other hand only come here when I needed a piece of clothing or shoes that I couldn't get anywhere else. I know all the history of this town, what lies behind all the partying.

A breeze flew across my body, getting me out of my thoughts. A scent hit my nose, musk filled with vanilla. It was relaxing, making me forget that I was in a bad neighbourhood, that something terrible could happen any minute.

I walk past an alleyway, where the scent got stronger, but I could also smell smoke, a type of cigarette smoke.

But what type?

Jake's POV

I made it to my usual spot, a dark alleyway. No one can see what's inside it but I can see what's going on outside. Luckily for me when the cops drive past they cant see what I'm smoking.

The wind was cold, blowing onto my face when ever a car drove past, but the alley blocked most of it. I was only a few yards away from the most popular night club, you could easily hear the beat and lyrics as people shouted 'call it what you want.'

The wind all of a sudden shifted until it settled on the most amazing scent, rose mixed with vanilla. It smelt delicious, something you could never buy. Just a priceless scent.

I wanted to reach out and grab whatever was making the scent, but I knew that if I did I would scare them and then they would run away, dragging the scent along with them.

Then she came into sight.

It was the girl from the other dream.

She wasn't wearing much coverage, she was all alone in clothes that could easily get her raped, most likely by a paedophile.

What should I do? I cant just let her stand there, anyone could drive past and do something to her. But I cant just take her into this alley, she would most likely think I was going to murder her.

They are my only two options.

Deciding to risk myself for her, I stick my arm out from the shadow and pull her into the safety of darkness.

“What the-?” she questions.

“Shh,' I say, covering her mouth with my hand as a gang stumbles past drunk.

One of the people turned their head towards our directions, scrutinising his eyes, trying to see past the shadows.

I held my breath as his eyes wandered over our corner, then let it out as the guy turns his head and walks away.

“That was close” I breathe out.

The girl struggles out of my grasp, the turns and faces me with her hands on her hips. Her eyes were glistening in the moonlight, her plump, red lips looking darker than what I have seen in the light.

“What the hell!” she yells.

“You shouldn’t be out here at night, its not safe for a girl like you,” I explain.

“A girl like me? You don't know me, I'm not some helpless girl wandering the streets at midnight.”

“Then why are you here?”

she slumps her shoulders, her small hands falling to her sides. “I don’t know,” she mumbles.

I smirk, but she probably didn't see it from the poor light.

“Why did you pull me here?”

“You could've gotten hurt, that gang that just walked past could have done some bad things to you,” I explain.

“Thank you,” I hear her whisper.

A/N: Hope you all enjoyed it. Next chapter should be longer, I just thought it would be better if I uploaded now instead of tomorrow.

I am really busy this week, I need to type up Dramatic Exposure and Match Maker, I also need top finish the chapter of Match Maker. I need to upload Marco Polo and write more of this story.

Next upload should be on Friday or Saturday, depends on if I get everything done.

Anyone have any ideas on who can play Jake and Alex, comment the name and I will search them up, the best male character I will dedicate next chapter to, best female I will dedicate chapter after next to you.
