I wake up to the sound of thunder.
I look to my left and see that Jamon wasnt there.

"Jamon !? Jamon where are you ?"

"Im down stairs babe !"

I get out from the bed and realize that I am still in jamons big t shirt

I look out the window and can't believe that it's still raining.
My bare feet touch the floor feeling there cold touch. I get a small chill making my way to where my cloths were thrown from the night before. My thighs and arms ached as I stumbled into my jeans. I put on my bra and kept jamons shirt on. I walk down stairs and see Jamon trying to light the fire in the chimney. He grunts and sighs at the fact that he can't get it started.

"you can't get the fire started ?"

"No... it's freaking cold in here and outside its even worse.. if this rains Dosnt go away were gonna have to leave soon."

I look at him with sad eyes and he was right as much as I feel safe in this house with him it wouldn't be good for our health to stay.

I walk to the garage feeling even more colder than inside. I open the duffle bag and pulled out the journals and took it inside to show Jamon.

I open up the journal and walked to the kitchen table. Site next to me and hold up the flash light. Lighting strikes the sky and thunder shakes the ground. Jamon look at me and says "what's up with those journals?"

"These where the journals that were in the duffle bag. This one have survival guide and this one is a journal with little drawing in it along with info on certain locations. There's also this map to show us."

"Well where in Texas so where would be a good stop ?"

I flip threw the journal to find info on Texas. I find it and wasn't surprised the a safe spot would be on the way to Dallas.
I look at him with a sigh and said "well at least we know where we're going"

Jamon get up and says "well let's get going love it looks like its not raining anymore but there's still thunder so we should hit the road."

"Okay you go get my bow and arrow from upstairs and I'll make sure we have everything packed up and ready to go in the truck"

We pack up everything and put everything in the truck making sure everything is secure. I look forward to Jamon and as he comes into the garage and puts the bow and arrow behind the seat I look at him and wonder should we practice shooting before we go.

"Hey Jamon do you think we should practice shooting in a mean time before we go because we know for a fact that those things are out there and especially in Dallas"

"Oh yeah you're so smart babe get the bow and arrows and practice with that since you're really good with it and I already know how to shoot a pistol"

Jamon sets up a little target symbol on the wall and hands me the bow and arrow.

"Okay so in the journal that I read about these things of course they say the luckiest way to put them down is to aim for the head so precise Precision is key when confronting them"
"damn kai  sound so sexy when you talk smart"

I smirked a little and prepared my bow. I took a deep breath.

I let go the arrow and see it shoot straight for the Target.
I hit it right in the middle.

"Wow I guess we didn't really need any time to practice and are pretty spot-on with our aim" Jamon says with a giggle.

I laugh at him and said
" hey you still need to shoot too not just me what if you run out of bullets we don't have to rely on some other sort of weapon."

"You're right you're right let me get my throwing knife and see if I still have my skills with it or not"

Jamon and gets in front of the Target and gets ready to throw the knife at the wall.
He throws the knife and the knife bounces Off the Wall he obviously missed it.
He grunted and picked the knife up and gets ready to throw it once more. His steady hands gently held onto the tip  of the blade.

He gets ready to throw it he lets go of the knife with full force and hits the target right in the middle. He goes to the wall and smiles at me and pulled the knife out of the wall as he gets ready to throw it once more.

I chuckle and walk to the truck and turned it on. Jamon soon finishes and walks to the car. I look at him and said "are you ready?"

He smiles and said "with you I'm always ready. But I wanna drive."
I laugh and said "ok"

We both switched seats and put on our seat belts.

He opens the garage door with the button and backs out. The rain was harsh and the wind was howling at us. I get off the truck to open the gate. I run back to the truck and look at jamon while putting my seat belt back on. He smiles at me and says "Dallas here we come"

I plug the aux cord to my mp3 and started playing The Pot By Tool. I look out the window realizing that me and jamon are the only ones here in the neighborhood. Both of our families are safe with the military while we were left here to either walk the earth or walk the earth dead. My eyes start to water because my mind was wondering to a dark place on where what if jamon turns or what if I turn. There are so many different scenarios on what can go wrong.
