It all was surreal, the place full with life and joy took a drastic turn for the worse. But when Harry pulled the plug on his disastrous design, he set out to fix his terrible mistake of letting his creation fall into the hands of a madman, the hands of Roy.
"I wonder what will happen," Harry said moments before the plug was pulled, to his surprise, Roy did nothing to stop him, not when he moved towards the machine's origin, and not when he shut the whole place down. But as the lights powered down, he couldn't help but feel as if his movements were being calculated, being controlled somehow from the shadows by Roy.
He shook the feeling, not being able to make out the other's outline within the palpable and heavy darkness. He had to grab the two others and escape as quickly as possible, his friends were his priority. He knew Manny was most likely still on the set in the bedroom where he just recounted his horrors. But Robin was one question left unanswered, who knows where he may have gone to. Harry rushed out of the control room, to his delight the lights in the hallway were still on but harshly dim lit, but any light would suffice. "Manny. Manny. Where are you?" His voice called out as he reached the familiar set room.
Once reaching there, he noticed the puppet cringing on the bed, shaking violently. Manny was stuck in a horrible panic attack, "No, no, no, no, nooooo!" His arms around him hugging himself, trying to provide himself comfort. Harry sped up towards him, "Manny, Manny, calm down, please, you're safe now, I'm here." He lightly touched him on the shoulder, as the other turned over, his face full of distress and pain, as his tears had a broad outline on his face, "H-harry? Is that you?" He blinked twice, hoping this wasn't another illusion.
"Yes, it's me." The red furred monster replied, as the younger boy leaped into his arms, clutching onto him as if for dear life.
"I-I, I had a bad dream, a really bad dream, I was drowning, I was, I was...oil!" He huffed out, as the memory suffocated his lungs."It's over now, we're going to a safe place now, away from all this, just try to forget."
"Okay.." he took deep breaths and wiped away his tears, he needed to be brave now, for his friend, yes, he needed to get away just like his friends did before. "But where are we going? And Robin? He needs to come too."
"We're going to my house, where we'll be safe, to find Robin is another story, I don't know what Roy did to him." The monster pondered for a moment, he felt at a roadblock. His friend was far from dead, he knew that from the media machine, the only question was where. The basement. The basement, where they were once in, he remembered being caught there when the show took its first steps. "Follow me, I have an idea."
Hand in hand, he led him to the downstairs area, hoping his hunch was correct, he would only hope Roy wasn't as complicated and hard to counter move. When they reached the steps headed downwards, he turned on the light switch and sure enough their duck friend lurked in a chair tied up and blindfolded. "Robin! Robin!" Manny exclaimed, happy to see his friend again, "You're safe." He jumped up for joy and he quickly ran to him. Harry followed close behind, as the yellow puppet tugged on the rope.
"Let me help," Harry quickly untied the rope as Manny successfully pulled it away. "Yes!" the energetic puppet yelled out. As the blindfold was removed and the cloth tied to the bird's beak was taken off, Robin was finally freed.
"Thank you, guys! You don't know how relieved I am to see you again. This whole experience has been awful, my back certainly has taken a toll for the worse!" He said as he stretched out and cracked his back.
"We need to hurry," Harry stated simply, leading the team out the murky basement.
"You're right, there's no time to lose," Robin replied.
As the trio entered the hallway, the one thing standing in their way were the outlines of seven strangers, all humanoid in appearance, looming in the distance.
