The New Reality (Eren x Reader Part 15)

You're heart was beating sanic fast (note from the author: I'm sorry, I had to XD) and your limbs had almost gone limp and your entire body was burning up. You couldn't face it, but this was the way things were now. This was the new reality, and everything you once knew was almost entirely gone.

  Mikasa looked at you as if she was worried so she gently layed her palm on your shoulder. "Let's head to first class, kay?" She said and took your hand in hers. "Ok." You go back to normal and the both of you walk to what should've been science. But it was a little different. It was still science but with a different teacher and weird pictures plastered everywhere. The posters were large beings that had ridiculous looks on their faces. They looked like they were brain dead and complete killer idiots. You glance at the strangely enthusiastic teacher who had a name tag stuck on her shirt. She was wearing a uniform like from attack on titan.

  Her name was Hanji...why would a school teacher cosplay?

  The class came and went. The things that were taught and the way people acted, it was all really different. People didn't fool or joke around. In fact, they were all serious and focused. Everything is so odd. Maybe this is a joke? Yeah, probably.

  Lunch had rolled in and you found Eren and sat beside him and looked at his food. It came from the lunch line. You weren't hungry so you didn't get any. But the food...was so different. Not pizza, not a hamburger or a chicken sandwich. No tater tots or fries. But a bread roll, some kind of thick white soup and a steamed potato. Since when was this part of the lunch?

Eren looked at you and smiled slightly. Then looked back at his food and ate it like a savage. Like he was starving, and hadn't eaten for days.

The whole school. It was different and smaller. Less people, and the longer the day was...the more you saw people in these same strange outfits. It looked like it was from attack on titan but you never watched a whole lot of it. Just 1 or 2 episodes and you didn't even pay attention to any of it. You don't even know what they were fighting against.

  Eren was done in no time and put away his tray and sat back down. He too was wearing the outfit, you look down and find it on yourself as well.

What kind of sick joke is this!?

You look around and the school is a different color, it's a brown color and it's only lit up by some windows and candles. The lunch area was one small room. Everything was different.

School ends and everyone leaves. You wait for Eren and can't find him. You sigh and reach for your phone and find nothing there.

Who stole my phone!?

  But now that you think about it, you haven't seen anyone all day with a phone...stuck up teenagers always have their face stuck in their phones, so why?

  You finally see Eren, and all he does is waves. No smile, just a bold look on his face. He looked like everyone else, angered and prepared for anything. He seemed so focused on holding his ground, he looked like he was going to get in a fight. But that never happened. Cars weren't there, people just walked. You look at the school from outside, it's just a small rectangular shape. You walk home and let yourself in. You eat normal food, get your assignment done and go to sleep. You hope to maybe fall back to the real world, hoping this is a strange dream.

  The next day you wake up in........a bunk bed?

How did I get here!?

  You find mikasa below you and everyone waking up and changing. You jump to the floor and change like everyone else so you aren't left behind. You finish and head outside. It was a girls dorm, but you fell asleep at your house lastnight..how did this happen?

  You walk to school with Mikasa who is the same zombie as everyone else. Everyone looked blunt but on guard. You go into the same strange school and everyone eats breakfast. It was the same meal.

Is this military camp!?

  Class was outside, everyone was with a partner. Eren was mine and Mikasa was with Armin. You look at Eren and give him a hug. He hugs back and kisses your head. It was nice to have him in this confusion. You rest in his arms and look around. Everything is now completely different. No big buildings, no modern clothing, no normal people, no Walmart. Nothing...

  You are constructed by a tall man, who looked scared but ticked off. We are lead into...combat training!?

  You face Eren and are instructed to fight him. But why? Why is this necessary? Why is this happening? You only wanted to be with Eren. But now that you are, you're in some kind of cruel world!?

Then it all stops, everyone is panicking. Everyone is scared and running. You look at what everyone is running away from. And you can see it. A large wall...being destroyed. Like it's protection, but what from? The steam clears and your eyes widen. It's the large beings from the poster. But they are real! They are big and eating people. It won't stop! The blood lust and savagery was so strong and scary. You look at Eren who is angered and his jaw is clenched tightly. His eyes are narrowed and, looking into his eyes, you see the same thing you've seen in everyone elses...loss of innocence. Loss of the kind heart you once knew. The necklace you once wore yesterday was now on his neck.

"Eren.." You try to catch his attention. He looks at you and calms down.

"(Y/n), we need to go. Or we're all going to die. But I want to fight...I want to kill them all." He looks back at the titans and grabs your hand and runs to everyone else.

  Everyone is watching them...but there is a difference. They aren't killing..but being killed. By who?

  Levi!?

  You see levi killing them one by one, like it's easy and no problem.

  You now feel safe until you feel a warm breeze erupt around everyone. You look to find one of the giant beings, one of them kneeled down right in front of you. Now all you see is nothing. You can't see anything but darkness. Your eyes are closed because you don't want to see what's in front of you.

  You feel a warmth close around you and open your eyes...thinking you'll see Eren but only see the titans face. It's mouth wide open and blood stained teeth all around you. Eren is shouting your name, everyone is screaming and eren is screaming and crying. He's being dragged away to safety. His voice is the last thing you hear.

  And before you knew it....it was all over. Everything was gone. You left everything, and half of your body lied inside the titan. The other half, bleeding out and lifeless.
 

It was truly a beautiful cruel world...survival of the fittest. It was all true.
