What are few minutes?

What are few minutes?

Few; as in hardly any, only some, not many, a small number of something where a person might even think as insignificant. Therefore minutes of few are minutes a little more, minutes that are not as important compared to an hour with 60 minutes.

You're sleeping in the most heavenly bed ever when your mother tries to wake you up, so you say 'few more minutes'.

You see the clock in a school and class is droning on. You think there are only few minutes left and think of home and freedom.

You've been waiting for someone for the past half an hour, then that someone calls you that they'll be there in few minutes.

A person walks up for an interview, saying 'just a few minutes of your time' but you're sceptical because you know that's just a lie.

You're downloading something that took hours, and hours, and hours, and HOURS and finally you're at the point of 'just a few more minutes'.

People use the words 'few minutes' far more than they believe. Few minutes seems like a tiny blip in one's entire existence and the significance of it seems so tiny next to their large neighbours- Hours, Days, Years, and Decades.

You can't even see Few Minutes right beside Centuries.

However, here's the thing.

In few minutes you can listen to a song of your favourite artist. In few minutes the teacher may say something critically important for your next test. In few minutes several hundred babies are born in the world. In few minutes several hundred people die. In few minutes you've already been living for few minutes. In few minutes a person can finish a 1km race. In few minutes a cup noodle is ready. In few minutes thousands of photos are shared and millions of text messages are sent.

If these few minutes are as insignificant as people perceive, are the activities done in these few minutes therefore insignificant as well? Are few minutes so easily ignored that what happened in those few minutes are considered a situation of hardly any, only some, not many, a small number of something where a person might even think as insignificant?

Don't tell me that few minutes is nothing. If few minutes is nothing then your favourite song, your important hint, the babies, the deaths, your life, the race, your cup noodle, the photos and texts in those few minutes are then nothing.

For those who want something numerical, there are several Natural Numbers 60 seconds in those few minutes, thousands of instances, countless movement and applied physics. Seconds in those few minutes doesn't have to be natural numbers; they can be measured in decimals of 0.000000001 and further smaller seconds, therefore few minutes can be considered to have infinite amount of seconds leading to infinite amount of time.

Infinite amount of time, infinite amount of moment, and you call that nothing?

Don't tell me that few minutes is nothing when with few more minutes a person could've written their last answers to get full marks on a test. Don't tell me that few minutes is nothing when with few more minutes a sports team could've overcome the opponents' score and win. Don't tell me that few minutes is nothing when with few more minutes a person could've said their last words to their loved ones before passing away.  Don't tell me that few minutes is nothing when with few more minutes a life could've been saved.

Could've, would've, should've.

No longer lost.

Don't tell me that few minutes is nothing when it took you few minutes to read this.

Few minutes is not nothing.
