A New Kind of Protection

Jesse's POV

We all landed with our faces to the ground after entering the portal that caught my interest. All of us got up, and took a brief look at our surroundings. It appeared to be night time, and we were on a seemingly large island. "Well, I'm honestly surprised. I thought there would be at least some mobs around. But I'm not seeing any." Lukas said in a quiet tone.

"That's because I've been fending them off." A voice said, startling all of us. "Who's there?" I called out, flipping my head, looking for where the voice came from. "Oh, my apologies, I didn't mean to startle you." I turned my head, just to see a girl-like figure, with deep blueish hazel glowing eyes. "To be honest, you and your friends scared me!" The girl crept closer to us. "Who are you?" Petra stepped in, with a small amount of alarm in her voice. "Whoa whoa! No need to be alarmed! I was about to ask you th-..." The girl cut herself off, her blue-hazel eyes glowing a small amount brighter, almost like if she was recognizing us.

"Wait a minute... Are you... Who I think you are?" She asked us, surprising me. "That is a possibility. Do you recognize us?" I asked "I think so, wait... Ivor, Petra, Lukas, and Jesse... Right? from the Order of the Stones?" She caught all of us off guard. This glowing-eyed girl actually knows and recognizes us? In the DARK?!? "Wow, that's right! How'd you know?" Ivor asked, well surprised and curious. "I know you because I saw you single-handedly defeat that Witherstorm..." She responded, almost quietly. "You may not have seen me, but I believe I helped one of your friends immobilize the storms... Very smart thinking with those Endermen, by the way." She compliments, making me feel a bit flattered.

"Wow! Um, thanks! Quick question though... Where are we?" Lukas asked. "You are on my little get away island. I often come here to escape, or to cool off from a fight. But that's not totally relevant. What is, is my introduction to you. Name's Icicle, call me Icy." She replied and introduced. "Nice to meet ya, Icy." I said, happy to know that this new girl seemed innocent enough. "And an honor to meet all of you... LOOK OUT!" Icy nearly screamed as she grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to her, an arrow flying behind me. I heard a growl from the fast-reflexed girl, as she pulled out a blue and white flashing... stick? and flung it towards the source, making a groaning sound once it hit it. "Take that you pathetic monster." Icy said in a low, almost threatening voice. She raised her hand, and snapped, making the dropped flesh and flashing stick-thing disappear.

"May I ask... What the hell was that?!?" Petra exclaimed. "Was what? I was just defending my islan-""NO! The weapon you used! What was that!?" Petra exclaimed again, fascination in her almost-yelling voice. Icy chuckles.

Icy's POV
I was interrupted by Petra. "NO! The weapon you used! What was that?!" She exclaimed loudly, causing me to chuckle, recalling a few memories. "I presume you don't have icicles in your world?" I ask, closing my eyes, shifting my weight, and crossing my legs. "N-no, what are those exactly?" Lukas asks me, causing me to tense up a bit. "Huh... I'll tell all of ya once we reach my... Hideout I guess." I say, opening one eye and balancing my weight on both feet. I snap my fingers, and my eye releases those beautiful frost crystal smoke I do, and in a flash of blue and white, all of us find each other at my so called hideout.
