Walking into the backyard Jai watched as her father and brother trained in wolf form. Though her brother had training with master of arms, her father still insists on training him at home as well.

"Dad!" She called out while moving closer to the two. Her brother lost focus and turned towards her, growling in her direction. She narrowed her eyes at him and growled back, not liking his attitude.

Before they could even start fighting their father growled at the both of them. "Go inside Kai." Her father said through the family mind link. Kai huffed but nonetheless listened.

Jai rolled her eyes and watched as her father shifted back. She kept her eyes on his respectively while waiting for him to get dressed.

"What did you need to talk about father?" She asked once he was dressed. Her father sighed. "You know you have responsibilities and though you are young, you still will be looked upon as a mature teenager."

She rolled her eyes. "Why must they put such weight upon me?" She asked childishly. Still a young juvenile she didn't understand the full extent that the position held. Maybe if she was born a boy than she might've had a chance.

Her father sighed from the amount of stress that was laying heavily upon his shoulders. "Jai..." He trailed off. He didn't know how to explain this and he hoped that maybe when she was older, she would understand. "You just need to take responsibility." He repeated before walking away.

Jai sighed and rubbed at her temple. This is what their normal conversations were about. She looked at the forest and wished she could just escape into it, leaving everything behind. Sadly though that wasn't how life worked.

She turned and walked back inside. Her brother glared at her as he ate the sandwich their mother had made for him. Jai knew that their relationship would never be the same after what everyone filled his head with. Though she knew, the pain never ceased when thinking about their bond they once had.

She continued on. "Mom I'm going out to hang at the pit." She heard her mother's confirmation and with that she was on her way. Her curly hair laid on her back swinging side to side as she walked down the sidewalk.

She heard the whispers and the taunting from her fellow pack mates. Continuing on she ignored them making her way to where all the juveniles in her age group hung out at.

"There goes the useless loser." She heard from one of her tormentors. She tried not to listen to their lies. She knew she wasn't useless and she sure as hell wasn't a loser. "Are you sure you're talking about me, it may be your wannabe boyfriend!"

She heard growling but knew they wouldn't touch her. They wouldn't be able to beat her.

She smiled when seeing the pit. It was literally a pit that was a hole in the ground. She smiled as she saw the many familiar faces from training. They all were talking and having fun not paying her any attention.

She was used to being the outcast, but it still didn't stop her from keeping her head held high and continuing to move forward. Though she had lost some friends, she had gained a few that were true.

"Aye candy, come on!" Her very close friend Andy yelled out to her. She turned towards her and smiled sweetly. "How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me candy?" She asked and Andy smirked.

"Candy I have lost count and frantically I don't particularly care." Jai laughed at her. She was the only one that wasn't positively afraid of her. Instead she encouraged her, motivated her to knock the haters off and keep doing her to the best of her ability.

"Of course you don't." Jai sat down next to her and watched as she played those boring human games on her phone. "I don't see how you can take joy in those games." She said with a repulsive tone.

Andy rolled her eyes. "You're just mad because you can't get into them like I can." Jai nodded her head sarcastically. "Sure that's totally the reason."

Jai closed her eyes and took in Andy's calming scent. She smelled like the rain forest after a good clean. That was the main attraction when Jai became friends with her. Some would call it weird or even so close to gross, but Jai didn't particularly care.

"You sure you don't want to go on a run?" Andy sighed. "Positive honey, wait isn't that your ex boyfriend?" Jai opened her eyes and she was surprised when actually seeing her old boyfriend Ryder.

He was in a wet sloppy make out session with his new girlfriend. Jai gagged at the two and Andy actually did reconsidered going on that run.

Andy stood up and grabbed Jai's hand. She pulled her up and pulled her away from the two. Though Jai tried to hide it, Andy could still see the sadness and hurt when seeing the two.

Ryder was her only boy friend and he messed her up good when learning she would take over as the next Beta. He even went as far as trying to convince the Alpha and Beta that she wasn't capable to handle the responsibility that came with the position.

Jai was heartbroken and from then on decided to take a break from boys only hanging around with girls. "Oh there goes the les-bo's." She heard Minnie say to her group of friends. Jai ignored her use to her and many others saying that when seeing her and Andy together.

It was sad that she just had to get used to stuff that was said about her. She guessed that was just was what she was fated for.

Sadly though what was happening to her know was far from worse than what was about to happen in the future.
