Errol almost broke into tears when seeing his mothers form. She was sitting in a wheel chair and she was looking upon the flower field. She was very beautiful her fiery red hair flowing down her back and her bright green eyes that held emotions but not like before.
No this time it was different. This time she didn't have her mate to help and guide her through life. This time she was alone, just passing through the days until she was able to go to the moon to meet her mate once again.
She turned towards him when hearing the word 'mom' slip past his lips. She smiled softly and both Errol and his wolf wished to pull her into a hug. He began to walk forward but stopped when the next thing she said crashed through his heart like a wrecking ball.
"You look just like my son." She started off with. "He's away though, he went of to the army. He left his family behind not caring how everyone would be impacted by his sudden departure. My little boy just left us." The smile though did not slip instead it turned sad. "I understand though, his brothers didn't treat him like a normal brother, but at least he had me. He had me..." She trailed off. Tears leaked from her eyes as Errol for a full fledged male was bawling silently.
She sighed quietly. "It's okay though, I wish he has the happiness that he longed for, though sadly it wasn't here." She turned her eyes back to the flower garden. She couldn't help but smile at the thought of her little boy finding that he both desired and deserved. She wish she could say sorry for the horrible things she said that night. She wished she could have went back in time to hug him and send him off with the love he deserved.
Errol walked closer and he couldn't stop the pull to his belove mother. He dropped to his knees in front of her and simply hugged her laying his head on her lap. May couldn't help but run her fingers through the young boys hair. She could feel that he needed the comfort. She was struck with a memory and almost gasped from the intensity of it.
It showed a young red haired boy with sparkly green eyes in bed looking up at her with curious eyes. She felt the love that bubbled in her chest as she watched as she stroked young Errol's cheek. She heard her voice as she sang to him a tune that was passed down through her generation.
She couldn't help the smile that came to her face as she looked down at the crying male. Her male. She pulled his face up slowly and laid a tender kiss to his forehead. She couldn't believe that her young pup was back to see her. To lead with his brothers as it should be.
"My boy."
Errol eyes snapped open when hearing those words. His eyes connected with his mothers recognizing eyes. "Mama?" He asked afraid that the moon was playing a trick on him. "It's me baby." She said as tears of joy swan down her face. "You came back." Errol nodded his head. "Mama I'm so sorry, so fucking sorry that I didn't come back sooner. I am so stupid to leave the pack." May shushed him not wanting her boy to worry.
"It's okay hunny, the moon wanted this and she intended to have it. This is the price that needs to be paid." She whispered and Errol was slightly confused by her words. "What price?" He asked tentatively. She simply smiled and laid another soft motherly kiss to his forehead.
"You'll find out soon my young handsome boy." She laid her forehead on his as she closed her eyes inhaling his scent. Though she didn't have her wolf anymore she still had the heightened senses. She inhaled his watermelon scent already feeling herself going back to the dark place.
"I love you." She said and Errol nodded before placing a kiss to his forehead. "I love you too mama, always have and always will." She smiled before her eyes glazed over and Errol stood up feeling refreshed that he had got the chance to apologize to his mother.
He began his walk to the door but what she said next stopped him dead in his tracks.
"You look just like my son."
