Training and Tragedy

On Planet Earth:

Bardock sent a ki blast hurtling towards Gine. Gine dodged and sent one of her own. Bardock swatted it away and Gine appeared behind him and chopped him in the neck. Bardock fell for a moment and regained his senses and sent a roundhouse kick that sent Gine flying. While Gine was recovering from the kick Bardock wondered how she had gotten stronger. All the while Kakarot was sitting on the sidelines watching and taking in the scenery.

When Gohan woke up to the sound of explosions and animals running he thought war was happening outside his house. He quickly dressed and hurried to a clearing that he told them they could fight comfortably to see Bardock and Gine fighting and Kakarot happily watching. Their armor was in shreds and Gohan noticed it.

" Hey",yelled Gohan,"Would you like new clothes or food."

Bardock and Gine look down to see Gohan. .They look at the condition of their clothes and they are barely decent. They have to agree. The float down from the sky.

A little bit later:

"These clothes are cool!" exclaimed Gine.

Bardock just grunted his approval. According to Gohan, this type of clothes were called Gi. Gine's gi was a green under shirt with a pink shirt on top and with a hole in the back for her tail. Bardock's gi was with a red under shirt with a green shirt on top. While Bardock had his tail around his waist Gine preferred to have it free. After all, no one knew about their weakness.

"Well, this is an improvement",said Bardock.

"Now that we're ready I will teach you the fighting style of Earth",said Gohan

"Why would we want to learn that", said Bardock.

"Because this."

Gohan moved at an incredible speed and kicked Bardock in the face. Bardock went flying into a rock.
When Bardock came out of the rubble he was smiling. When he came running and tried to punch Gohan his punch was blocked. Bardock was surprised. He didn't know humans could be this strong.

"Now you know why you need to learn martial arts. If you two ever go against other foes you must know how to defend yourself properly and your young son will learn in time", nodding towards young Kakarot," I think we should start now. Now, come at me."

"What!"yelled Bardock and Gine at the same time.

"Um",said Gine," Wouldn't we injure you because we're stronger?"

"Oh no, I'm not that old yet. Now come at me."

Bardock and Gine share a look and they both rush at him. Gohan dodges them both and roundhouse kicks Bardock and punches Gine in the gut. They both stumble back rush at him again. Gohan keeps dodging their attacks in a way that Bardock and Gine keep punching each other. Gohan jumps back and goes on the offensive. He jumps toward Bardock and as Bardock prepares to block Gohan disappears and he appears behind Bardock and slams him with his palm. He jumps toward Gine and does the same thing but this time she turns around and grabs his arm and slams him into the ground. He gets up quickly but Gine is ready. She is quickly learning how to dodge and counter his attacks. Bardock has been watching and he jumps toward Gohan knowing how to fight him. Gohan senses that Bardock is coming so he does a backflip out of the way. Gohan looks at the two warriors standing side by side and deems that they've done enough training.

"Well I think we've done enough training for today", said Gohan.

They notice that Kakarot has been watching the whole time and on unsteady legs trys to mimic their moves. Gine laughs and goes over to pick Kakarot up.

"Well, we should get going before night fall. And I'll prepare a delicious feast",said Gohan happily.

Bardock and Gine brighten up at that.

"Let's go then!"

But on the way the back to the house a terrible accident happened. While they were on a bridge Kakarot slipped and fell down a ravine hitting his head. When Bardock and Gine flew down into the ravine they feared the worst. But he was still alive.

"Gohan what do we. We don't even have a healing tank. Will he die!?"frantically screamed Gine.

"Bardock calm her down!"yelled Gohan.

While Bardock tried to calm down Gine Gohan was scooping up unconscious Kakarot. He hurried towards his house and set down Kakarot on the bed. He went outside to see Bardock carrying an unconscious Gine.

"Bardock,what did you do?"asked Gohan.

"I knocked her out. It was the only way she would stop freaking out. What of Kakarot?"said Bardock calmly.

"Well, he's resting but there is no telling when he'll wake up", said Gohan.

Bardock and Gohan wait until Gine wakes up to tell her the news. When Gine wakes up the first thing she does is punch Bardock in the face and goes to the room in which Kakarot is unconscious and weeps.

"I was not expecting that", said Gohan

"Neither was I",said Bardock while grabbing his cheek. The punch left his entire left side of his face red.

"I think we should leave Gine alone with Kakarot", said Gohan."We'll have to wait until tomorrow to if he wakes up."

The next day:

"Bardock wake up! Wake up!"

Bardock hesitantly opens his eyes to see Gine happily jumping around with Kakarot in her arms. Gine grabs his hand and she dances around with him. He let's himself be led around by his wife until he notices Gohan's not there.

"Gine, Gohan is not here", said Bardock.

"Yeah, that's strange. He would be here celebrating with us", said Gine.

When they knock on the door they get no answer. When they open the door they find that he is motionless on his bed. On the table next to his bed there is a note. Bardock immediately fears the worst. Gine picks up the note and reads it aloud: If you're reading this it means that I am dead. You two made my last days worth living. My time in this world is over. I give Bardock and Gine my house. To Kakarot I give my Dragonball. Cremate me and spread my ashes on the mountain. Truly yours, Gohan.

Gine collapses into Bardock's arms crying and Bardock mourns silently for his master.

I hope this chapter is longer than the previous ones.
