HAYES POV

I've been awake for the past 20 minutes, just laying here with Gaby in my arms. "I love you" I whispered in her ear and kissed her temple softly.

She smiled and nuzzled her head into my neck, her lips pressing lightly against my skin as she slept.

I ran my finger tips through her hair as I kissed her forehead. I looked up at the clock, seeing that it was around 11:35.

The door opened and I saw Nathaly with Aaron and Shawn. "Happy birthday dude" I whispered and Shawn gave me a warm smile.

"Thank you Hayes" he whispered back and gave me a high five then hugging Gaby softly.

Gaby started moving around in her spot and looked up at me, squinting her eyes at the light. She smiled, kissing my cheek softly and turned to Shawn next to her.

"Hey it's the birthday boy" she smiled and hugged him tightly. Shawn smiled and hugged her back, "yes it is" he chuckled softly.

She rubbed her face after letting go and laid on my chest once again, "can we go yet?" She mumbled against my skin. "The doctor has to check up on you, giving us the okay to let you out of here" I said whispering and kissing her softly.

She smiled against my lips and pulled away, closing her eyes and soon falling asleep on my shoulder again.

"Get married" Nathaly laughed and looked at Gaby then moved her stare to me. "Don't worry I plan on it" I winked and she smiled.

"Oh my god, this birthday is going great so far" Shawn chuckled and moved to one of the chairs.

Dr. Sheperd walked into our room and gave us a welcoming smile. "Hey guys, how are you?" He said looking at her chart then at the monitor.

"We're great" I said rubbing Gabys arm, making her wake up then look at the doctor.

"Good morning" she smiled and sat up slowly and played with my hand. "Good morning Gaby, we just need to take a blood test to make sure you are free to go, is that fine?" He said with a soft smile.

Gaby nodded and dr sheperd smiled, "alright i will be back in 5 minutes" he said walking out of the room.

Gaby turned back to me and pecked my lips softly. "Hey beautiful" I chuckled as her cheeks tinted to a soft pink shade.

The door opened and we saw an older lady with blonde hair, dressed with a light blue shirt with jeans and sandals. My eyes widened and Gaby tightly gripped on my hand.

"Mom?" Gaby whispered and scooted closer to me. Amanda walked to us and got close to the bed. "Gaby, honey you're awake!" She sighed in relief and kissed Gabys forehead.

"W-What are you doing here?" She whispered and looked back at me then to her mom. "This is the earliest flight I could get out here, they called me saying you were in the hospital" she said explaining everything and putting her bag on the floor.

Amanda's eyes moved toward me and gave me a soft smile, "how are you Hayes?" She said clamping her hands together.

"I'm good" I smiled and shook her hand politely. "Hey amanda" Aaron got up from his seat and smiled awkwardly.

"Oh Aaron!" Amanda hesitantly shook his hand. "Haven't seen you since Gaby moved in with you after a non sense fight" the whole room went quiet.
