Chapter 7

3 Years Later

 "Jessica can you please pass that file to me, we have a really important meeting in an hour to attend and I want everything to be perfect" I order my secretary Jessica around, as I move into the door with 'AR' on it, our business has been quite successful and so is the clothing line, being 21 and on the covers of magazines like Vogue and Forbes means we've reached our goal, but no we want to achieve and we will achieve more. Just as I settled in my seat with my computer on the table checking if the files were proper there was a knock on my door, muttering a quite 'come in' I heard the door open and someones throat being cleared looking up a smile etched on my face as I saw a heavyly pregnant Scarlette stand in front of me, getting up I gave her a hug as her belly came between both of us.

"How are you Scar? And how is my goddaughter?" yes you had that right, she was pregnant with a girl and she made me the godmother because according to her I was perfect, "Kicking she's a devil I say, this is so tiring? what are you doing? God I've turned fat haven't I?" she complained, causing me to chuckle as she glared at me, "Chill Scar, she's a kid of course she'll kick and you're pregnant, you'll go back to your normal self, and I was working on a file, I have a meeting in an hour" 

"Yeah, I'm just overreacting, Mike is going to pick me up in an hour and you have a meeting in an hour so perfect, let's gossip" she exclaimed, as I was about to say she cut me off, "Do you remember Stefanie? Stefanie James the same bitvh that was trying to shade you? news is that she is pregnant, she is trying to hide it, but of course there are pictures of her baby bump, karma really is a bitvh" she laughed, I could however only feel amused, the girl was 17, for god's sake, she hated me, well because she thought I slept my way up, but than when I was interviewed, there was a lie detector in which several questions were asked and I of course got through them.

"She's only 17, well quite the scandal" I said, she nodded, "Do not forget about our gathering, and do come, I don't want any excuses, got it?" she ordered, "Scarlette the gathering is 2 months away, long time, chill" I rolled my eyes.

"Well excuse me if I want my child's godmother to attend her baby shower" she said with tears in her eyes, there she goes again..

"Scar I'll be there, I'll be there, I promise how can I miss it? it's my goddaughter you're talking about" I tried to cheer her up, instantly a smile graced itself on her lips as she nodded her head enthusiastically.

"Well I better get going I have a date to attend, all the best for your meeting, love you" she rushed.

The meeting was a success, we got the deal they were happy with us so were we with them, just as I about to leave, I found Jessica in the corridor with roses.

"From your lover Jess?" I inquired, she shook her head "Yours, they are for you, better get going, Sasha might be waiting" she said, nodding my head as a permission that she could leave I took the flowers from her.

Sasha was Jessica's girlfriend, they marked their 2 year anniversary last friday I was honestly happy for them, they deserved each other.

I took a look at the roses, they were red and pink, just like how I liked, with a note attached to it deciding to read the not once I got home since it was time, I carried the bouquet with me to my office, collecting my things, and bidding a goodbye to the watchmen, I made my way to my car, getting in I took the shortest route to my house as I was hungry.
