I sluggishly wake up at around 6, I took two melatonin to try and curve the effects of the time change, it seemed to help. I went into the kitchen said Good Morning and got a shower. The way you bathe in Japan is similar to the western way but in Japan you sit in this Seat and clean yourself off, then you get into the bathtub to relax. It was extremely comfortable but I was on a tight schedule and had to make haste. I got out of the shower dried my hair off and came into to the kitchen to eat. We had salad, tea, sausage that Oka-San made into little squids, and eggs. It was absolutely amazing. I then said goodbye to Onee and got into the car with Ototo. We dropped him off at school and went to the city hall. We visited the Board of Education, the Mayor, and the City Council. They presented us with many amazing gifts including extremely useful fans, and hand towels. Originally I did not understand the hand towels, but I came to learn that Japan does not have Paper Towels, instead you being your own Hand Towels. There was then a small party hosted by the city. After the party we went to Toho Highschool, and amazing private highschool in Narashino. They had a small school festival where we did many fun activities, such as smash the watermelon, and writing complex kanji. I made three awesome friends at Toho: Yutah, who was from California but who was also visiting Narashino, Yuji, a student and member of the band, and Sunshine Forest, well Atleast that's what his kanji meant. It was a great first day but I was still very awkward. We left Oka-San came to Toho to pick me up and we went home, then we gathered Onee, Ototo, and Oba-chan and we went to go eat. We went to this amazing place called Dontonbori, I think, and had this dish called Okonimiyaki, it was so good. Essentially they would give you raw ingredients and you would cook the Okonomiyaki on a hot plate in front of you. It was a great time that I spent with my host family, and I'm very sure it was here that got me absolutely hooked on Matcha, Japanese Green tea. After tons of food we went home and I fell right asleep, with two more Melatonin of course.
