CHAPTER TWO...

When the bell went I told Elise that I would catch up with her later and made my way to the music rooms. When I got there, Mr Murrey wasn't there so I let myself in his classroom and sat down and waited. After about five minutes I got bored, so I picked up my acoustic guitar that the school reserved for me and started strumming and humming to my song. When I finished playing someone behind me cleared their throats. I turned around and saw Mr Murrey leaning against the door frame. I could see why almost the whole female population had a thing for him, he was 22, with jet black hair and eyes to match, plus he is really care free and fun. But unlike the rest of the female population, I only saw him as my music teacher. However that doesn't mean that I don't think he's hot.

'Nice to see it's coming along' he commented.

'I know what you mean' I said smiling. I had been working on compsing this song for almost a month. And now I was really happy that it's coming together.

'SoI reckon that we can get you into the studio next Wednesday arvo' he said walking over to his desk that looked like a bomb had gone off on it.

'Yeah that'd be great' I said. And yeah, you heard me right, my school has a recording studio. It's not flash like the ones on TV in Hollywood, but it gets the job done.

'So take your guitar home and practice and bing it back when ever.'

　

Ok great' I said putting my guitar away. 'Ok bye Mr Murrey' I said heading towards the door.

'Good bye Lexi' he said as I closed the door.

After I put my guitar in my car so that I didn't have to carry it around all day, I went over to my group. When I got there everyone was talking about the party that Rachel Bone was throwing after the game tonight.

'Hey Lex' Chase said when he saw me. 'Are you comin' to Rachel's party tonight?'

'Ah I don't think so' I said. 'I need to work on my song'.

'Oh come on Lex' Gabriel complained.

'Don't call me Lex' I said at the same time that Elise said, 'Don't call her Lex'. We shared a knowing look, I hated being called Lex. The only person who I let call me Lex was Chase and that only becuase on the day we met 10 years ago, he couldn't pronounce Alexis and he didn't like the sound of Lexi.

'Anyway, theres no way that mum will let me go.'

'Ah now that is where your wrong miss Alexis Maira Rose Edmunds, I have already sent your mum a text and she said that as long as I'm going than you can go to so suck it up cap cake.'

'Chase Mathew David Evans! If anyone else in this school said that they had my mums number and they send her text messages, I would slap them so hard that their great great grandchildren would feel it! But I guess if mum said I could go then fine, but I'm not satying late.' I warned.

'Fine' Chase agreed as the bell went.

'5, 6, 7, 8!' Stephanie yelled into the megaphone.

We were in the gym doing one last practice of our routin before heading out at half time. I shoot a glace at Elise. Her jaw is clenched so tight that I can almost her the sound of her teeth breaking.

When we were done, we all went into the locker room. Most of the girls were in the bathroom fixing their hair and make-up.

'So I was thinking' Elise said. We were sitting on the cold metal seats away from the drama in the bathroom.

'Thats never a good sign' I said jokingly.

'Shut up' she said lightly punching me in the arm. 'Anyway like I was saying before you rudly interupted, seeing as we are all going to the party, we may as well go together.'

'Yeah sounds good' I said getting up whe nthe siren went signaling half time.

we made our way to the middle of the field and did our routine. About half way through, I felt someone starring at me. I scanned the stands but I saw no one descretly starring just at me, so I let it go. It wasn't until I turned around that I realised where the stares were coming from.

The entire football team was standing their starring at us. Most with lust in their eyes while others had their mouths hanging to their knees.

I still felt someone starring at me. Then I found out who it was.

Chase was standind their with the most lustful exprecion that I had ever seen.

I blushed and quickly walked past them, but I was stopped whe someone grabbed my arm.

I looked up and met Chase's eyes.

'I need to talk to you.'

'Ok shoot' I said.

'EVANS!' Coach Smith shouted. 'HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THAT WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A GAME?!'

'Coming Coach!' He shouted back. 'Meet me at your car after the game' he saod before running off.

I was waiting by my car after the game like Chase said. After a couple of minutes a guy named Scott came up to me.

'Hey Lexi, how ya doin'?' He asked.

'Hey Scott, umm I'm pretty good I guess. Hey you were really good out their tonight.'

His face lit up. 'Thanks Lexi, that really means a lot.' He smiled. 'So umm I was wonedring if ... um ... youwould like to ... umm ... I mean ... umm ... if you arn't busy next Friday night if ... umm... you would like to ... umm ... go on a date with me?'

The way that he was stuttering over his words was the cutiest thing ever.

'Yeah sure it sounds fun' I said giving him a reasuring smile. 'What's you have in mine?'

'Well that carniva; just came into town, that could be fun.'

'Sure, it's a plan. Hey are you going to Rachel's party?'

'Na, I'm baby sitting my little cousins tonight.'

'Hey what are you guys doing?' I jumped at the sound of Chase's voice right behind me. He was starring daggers at Scott and when I looked over, Scott was looking really nevous and uncomfortable.

What the hell?

'Umm nothing, where's Elise?' I asked.

'She already left in my car, she said someting about a hair curler'. He explained. 'Anyway Lex, we better go' he said still starring at Scott. And I tell ya, if looks could kill, Scott would be six feet under by now.

'Ok sure lets go' I turned back to Scott, 'I'll text you later, bye.' I said getting in the car.

As we drove off, Chase was still starring at Scott.

What's he so angry about?
