The dinner started to be a bore…
Jake could feel that Anne is not in the mood to talk about anything…
So he called the attention of the waiter...
He whispered something to the waiter who’s nodding vigorously…
Anne barely touched her food…
Her attention shifted from her plate to Jake…

She realized that Jake is looking at her so she pretended to ask the waiter for a glass of water…
The waiter just smiled at her and turned around…
Much to her amusement, her glass is still full…

She just smiled back and pretended to like the food as she tried her best to look like she’s enjoying it…
Jake is shaking his head…
As he’s smiling back at her…
What is she thinking…
What is she doing…
What are you hiding Anne?
Both of then deeply thinking…
They’re like ignoring each other…
Ignoring the fact that they’re together…
Ignoring the world around them…
As if on qeue…
Melodic sound filled the room…
And one by one each person stood up…
To ask their dates…
A lady having her dinner…
A kid savoring her dessert…
Anyone...
To dance with them…
Jake slowly shifted his gaze towards Anne…
Anne did the same thing…
At the very instance that their eyes met…
They knew what they should have to do…
They just saw themselves dancing to the slow rhythmic sound that the trio of string instruments was playing…
They keep on dancing and dancing…
Like this is the nicest thing to do…
Thinking of nothing…
Wishing that the song wouldn’t end…
That tomorrow would always be like this…
Always peaceful…
Always light…
Away from the tiring and busy days of their lives…
This is what they needed…
This is what they should be doing…
They both deserve something like this…
